CNC Programmer

who will be responsible for setting up programs, operating, and troubleshooting CNC lathes and mills without assistance, and preparing a library for all designs with proper indexing.Key Responsibilities & Authorities

Set up programs, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes and mills without assistance.Prepare a library for all designs with proper indexing.Prepare a daily plan for CNC machine work.Read and interpret 3D drawings and IGES files.Properly and safely load and unload castings and raw materials in CNC machinery.Use gauges and other measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.Ability to set up, program, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes and mills without assistance. Must be self-sufficient.Ability to reduce setup time and machining through process improvements.Must be proficient with FANUC controls.Understand, interpret, and edit FANUC G-code programming.Recognize, deploy, and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling.Understand and have the ability to perform tool wear offsets.Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.Assist in the organization and maintenance of the machine shop work environment.Provide constant feedback and input on process improvement within the department.Utilize and abide by ISO requirements and safety procedures.Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.Attend scheduled meetings and actively participate by providing meaningful inputs.Be flexible with time and schedule to assure availability to the company as circumstances require.Communicate honestly, professionally, and respectfully with others and demonstrate effective listening skills.Skills/Experience:

High school diploma or higher from a technical specialization.Minimum 4 - 5 years' experience in CNC programming.Strong CNC machining background.Experience working with different materials: stainless steel, aluminum, and castings.Knowledge of CNC milling, lathe, and drilling machine operations.Open-minded, good listener.Good communication skills.Knowledge of computer and MS software.Fluency in the English language; working knowledge of other languages is a plus.Physical and Mental Requirements:

Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively.Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.About PIPECARE Group:PIPECARE Group offers comprehensive In-Line Inspection Services to identify and size pipeline threats.
