  1. Perform Imaging Tests(EchoCardiograms) and Nonimaging cardiovascular evaluations whichmay include Exercise tolerance tests (Stress test) Holtermonitoring Event recorders 24 hr Ambulatory BP MonitoringElectrocardiograms at Technical level and Assisting in PerformingTransesophageal echocardiography.
  2. Obtainspatient history explains procedures to patient addresses patientsconcerns and follows established prescreening policy andprocedure.
  3. Determines appropriate methodologyand techniques to use; arranges immobilization and/or supportdevices for proper patient positioning; selects appropriate imagingdevice.
  4. Prepares patient for echocardiographyprocedures positions patient as appropriate for prescribedprocedure and assists patients at completion ofprocedure.
  5. Uses good judgment when determiningif the procedure was sufficient for properdiagnoses
  6. Provides images data analysis andpatient information to the physician for diagnosticinterpretation.
  7. Prepares facilities inaccordance with procedural requirements; calibrates equipment asrequired.
  8. Monitors the patients physicalcondition during the course of the procedure; report patient changeof status or emergency situations to clinical staff supervisorand/or cardiologist.
  9. Recognize abnormal rhythmsand immediately notify Physician or appropriate clinicalstaff.
  10. Maintain accurate patient documentationincluding computerized documentation
  11. Performsgeneral office duties: maintains stock supplies assistsadministrators in determining quantities for purchase recordsprocedure codes for billing purposes and schedulingpatients.
  12. Ensures proper care in the use andmaintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuousimprovement of workplace safety and environmentalpractices.
  13. Troubleshoot equipment and documenterrors or equipment malfunctions; escalate issues and concerns toengineer supervisor and/orcardiologist.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate froman accredited school of Cardiac Technology
  • 6months of Internship in CathlabTechnology
  • Current license in country of originwith MOH/DHA license to practice in U.A.E.
  • Twoyears of recent related work experience as a Cardiology TechInterventional/Special Procedure Technologist (orequivalent)
  • Excellent command of oral andwritten English. Arabic language advantageous/desirable but NotEssential
  • Ability to adjust to group practicein an industrialenvironment.
