In this role, the constructionManager is expected to manage all on-site field constructionactivities associated with the completion of a medium to large sizeprojects. What You'll BeDoing
- Leadsplanning and delivery for construction management of the programand ensures operational consistency across theprogram.
- Manage and monitor all consultants& contractors associated with theprogram.
- Implement agreed strategies, throughdelivery of PMP's and other key documents and approachesin accordance with program requirements and accepted bestpractice.
- Lead the implementation andapplication of advanced principles, theories, and concepts,ensuring compliance and consistency across the deliveryteams.
- Contribute to the development ofinnovative principles and ideas.
- Leads onunusually complex construction management challenges and providessolutions that are highly creative, in coordination with functionalleads.
- Facilitates forming partnerships withkey stakeholders and organizations impacted by theprogram.
- Assigns work to employees, oversees,and tracks the completion of workassignments.
- Interviews and selects personnelfor assignment as required.
- Maintains clear andconcise work standards and goals; provides training anddevelopment; completes performance evaluations, conducts employeecounselling, takes corrective action asnecessary.
- Ensures adherence to all corporate,contractual, ethics and safety standards, policies, andprocedures.
- Performs other responsibilitiesassociated with this position as may be appropriate.
WhatRequired Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree inconstruction-related field (or equivalent construction-related workexperience), and typically 15+ years of experience in fieldconstruction is required.
- Experience inmanaging construction of medium to large civil/structural and/orindustrial projects.
- Safety Qualification /Awareness Training.
- Very strong communicationskills in English, written andspoken.
- Maintains clear and concise workstandards and goals; provides training and development; completesperformance evaluations, conducts employee counselling, takescorrective action as necessary.
- Ensuresadherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics and safetystandards, policies, and procedures.
- Performsother responsibilities associated with this position as may beappropriate.
