JobSummary

This position will be sitebased in charge of a package (project) responsible for providingplanning scheduling and delay analysis to ProjectLead and other Project team members. 

JobDuties

  • Understandingwork scope quantity and familiar with logical sequencing ofconstruction disciplines;
  • Providing detailedreview analysis and monitoring of the procurement and constructionprogrammes with Critical path Method analysis ofthe Contractor Subcontractors andUtilities
  • Working closely on a day to day basiswith the planners of the contractor to monitor and/or amend theContractors baseline programme ofWork
  • Providing progress reports graphs andcritical path analysis for the monthly and weekly progressreports
  • Reporting to the Project Lead any risksopportunities and any mitigation strategies to maintain the projectcompletion date
  • Reviewing actual progressagainst the construction programme and prepare and report to the tothe Project Lead accordingly
  • Advise ProjectLead for anyearly warning in regard to potential delay events
  • Attendingsite and convening workshops with the site supervision team asnecessary to get snapshots in time and keeping an update on actualprogress on site
  • Conducting independent sitevisits to evaluate the contractors site progress against hisprogramme and reporting to the Project Leadaccordingly
  • Providing support to the CostControl Team in understanding the programme risks and opportunitiesof potential additional works and variationproposals
  • Maintaining records of monitoring ofthe programme to enable input and support to the Project Lead andCost Control Team to evaluate any related Contractor claims andvariations as considered necessary
  • Providingassistance during negotiations arbitration or any other forms ofdisputeresolution
  • Review claims (Time Impact Analysis / Window/APAB) defense and review of particularsand chronology of events
  • Investigate for potential delay eventsanddetermining presence of concurrent delay
  • Reviewand prepareprospective and retrospective delay analysis
  • Present & discuss EoT claims withknowledge of contract mechanisms

SpecificSkills Required

  • Musthave working experience of major multicontractprojects.
  • Working knowledge of Time ImpactAnalysis and delay analysis.
  • Advancedknowledge of planning principles methodology practices of researchand data collection
  • Advanced knowledge ofMicrosoft Office software (especially MS Excel and Word) andInternet applications.
  • Fully conversant withPrimavera packages and MS Project.
  • Fullyconversant with the standard forms ofcontract.
  • Ability to develop monitor andcontrol schedules.
  • Hands on working knowledgeof WBS coding structure cost /schedule varianceanalysis
  • Earned Value Management (EVMS) projecttrend contract change and claims.
  • Knowledge ofeffective writingtechniques
