JobSummary

This position reports to thePresident with a dotted line to the Board of Directors through theChairman of the Board and works closely with an active BoardExecutive Committee. The CFO is specifically or indirectlyresponsible for the following:

  • ChangeManagement. Deliver close change management advice to the board andadvise from a commercial and strategic direction as to where thecompany needs to be focusing.
  • SAP/ERPResponsible for the identification of new systems and operatingprocedures. The business is in desperate need of structure andprocesses and is keen to find a business leader who has come from amajor manufacturing FMCG business specifically within Dairy andJuices.
  • Board and External Relations. Supportthe work of the Board of Directors and all relevant committees.Serve as the intermediary between board and staff. Identify recruitand maximize the contributions of new and existing boardmembers.
  • This is a newly created role for ahands on commercial / strategic CFO who can adapt a changemethodology and look at the big picture to move the business from afamily run business into a MultiNational operatingcompany.
  • The CFO is responsible for directly orindirectly managing the vision and daily operations of theorganization. Working with the President and BoardMembers.
  • One of the key parts for this role isto implement manuals policies and procedures and work with thePresident to focus on change management and look at the Cash flowwithin the business and to enable the business to be in a positionto develop organically and look at major M&A in thefuture.
  • Administration. Responsible for overalladministration and quality of the organization its projects humanresources policies and procedures finances andfacilities.
  • Budgeting. Responsible for thedevelopment and management of the annual operating and capitalbudgets.
PerformanceObjectives

After 12 months in the rolethe successful candidate will have accomplished thefollowing:

  • Sales and Distribution. Usecurrent resources to produce better sales forecasts and implementprocedures to produce production plans that will meet theforecasts. Increase the number of distribution routes to enhancesales and their cost control through implementing asset trackingsystems within a limited budget.
  • ProductDevelopment & Acquisitions. Assess the current productportfolio of the company to enhance their P&Ls and put inplace systematic procedures to introduce future products for theorganization. Implement all systems necessary (Financial ControlsIT and HR) to allow for futureacquisitions.
  • Change Management. Worked withthe existing management team to evaluate and assess the currentorganization and to put in place a clear change management plan.This will have been shared with the organization from top to bottomensuring buyin from all key stakeholders and the implementationwill be on schedule according to the timelinespecified.
  • Financial Controls. Evaluated and ifnecessary then will have put in place the effective means by whichthe organizations resources are directed monitored and measuredensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and protecting theorganizations resources both physical and intangible. Theseinternal control procedures should reduce process variation leadingto more predictable outcomes.
  • Procurement.Assess and improve the current procurement strategies and enhancecontrol over raw material costs in order to sustain profitability.Propose plan to the Board of Directors to create a procurement unitif necessary to effectively control the need and size ofpurchasing.
  • IT & Technical Systems.Oversee the evaluation of the IT and the technical systemsincluding the systems and technology involved in the manufacturingprocesses and approve an implement the necessary changes ifnecessary of systems such as the ERP System across the entiregroup.

The ideal candidate has ablend of the following:

  • Substantialprior successful experience operating an organization similar insize scope and scale of impact
  • Priordemonstrated successful experience with sales growth and businessdevelopment as well as demonstrable Change Managementexperience
  • Bachelors degree required advanceddegree preferred
  • A demonstrated passion for theindustry and the region and for providing quality products to thecommunity
  • A visionary who doesnt lose sight ofdaily operations
