Stantec is looking for an Architectural Inspector to join our growing site supervision team in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities include:

1. Inspecting site conditions before the start of construction activities. Verifying the compatibility of the site with the designed permanent works. Checking for obstructions.
2. Photographing and documenting the condition of an existing property that the work might damage.
3. Reviewing materials delivered to site for conformance with approved samples, materials, and equipment and reporting findings.
4. Checking that materials delivered to site are appropriately stored and reporting discrepancies.
5. Inspecting the construction of temporary and permanent works to ensure compliance with the Contract Documents and approved shop drawings and submittals.
6. Preparing daily logs and reports. Maintaining records of inspections made, tests performed, work executed, etc. Performing all work in accordance with the Contract Administration Procedures Manual.
7. Observing site safety practices and the progress of the work. Reporting any concerns.
8. Assisting with the inspection of completed works. Helping prepare punch lists. Monitoring the start-up, testing, commissioning, and handover of the works.
9. Assisting in the review of shop drawings and material submittals related to architectural and ID works.
10. Performing all other duties given by the direct manager.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum eight (8) years of experience in a similar or equivalent position, with 3-4 years (UAE) Construction Administration experience in consultancy firms and Middle East buildings project experience.
2. Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines: Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
3. Review of drawings related to ID works and inspection on site.
4. Good oral and written communication skills.
5. Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, and trade practices is required.
6. Computer proficiency.
