To deal with the inspection,diagnosing and repair of Electric Vehicles using advanceddiagnostic tools to identify the source of problems and repairvehicles using Fix It Right process, to provide unique customerexperience in order to improve customer retention in compliancewith BYDstandards.
Whatyou will do:
- Diagnose complex system faults onElectric Vehicles, through to preventativemaintenance
- Support, coach and guide othermembers of the team in the workshop by advising diagnosisprocedures and efficient / correct workprocedures
- Ensuring quality by producingextremely low level of return jobs
- Developinghigh level of communication by ensuring clear explanation of thework completed or required is well documented and clear tounderstand by Service Advisor, Technical Advisor, Technical Supportand the Customer.
- Undertake great effort toimprove efficiency by providing constructive inputs regarding workprocess, procedure, work environment, tools and equipmentetc.
- Making safe electric vehicles to be workedon by junior technicians
- Provide technicalinput to spare parts staff to assist in correct part and toolingidentification and supply
- Maintain safe workingenvironment for anyone work on or near electric vehicles, workingclosely with HSSE and providing recommendations asrequired
Required skills to besuccessful:
- In depth knowledge and experience ofEV components and systems both high and lowvoltage
- Master Technician certification orindustry equivalent
- Able to support, coach andguide other members of the team in theworkshop
- Up to date with the latest technologyused in EV cars

The role will report tothe Aftersales Manager and you will be working in a busy EVworkshop environment.
WhatEquips You For The Role:
- 5-7 years' experience asDiagnostic Technician, retail automotiveexperience.
- Valid UAE drivinglicense
1.Mechanical and ElectricalKnowledge:
- VehicleSystems: Understanding of engines, transmission,suspension, braking systems, exhaust systems, and electricalsystems.
- Diagnostics:Ability to use diagnostic tools to identify issues with avehicle's engine, transmission, and electricalsystems.
- Electric/ElectronicSystems: Knowledge of modern vehicles'electrical wiring, sensors, and computer-controlledsystems.
2.Troubleshooting and ProblemSolving:
- Ability toquickly diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical problems byusing diagnostic equipment or by troubleshooting the vehiclemanually.
3. VehicleRepair:
- Expertise inrepairing and replacing damaged or faulty components (e.g.,engines, brakes, tires, steering,suspension).
- Working with hand tools, powertools, and specialized equipment to repair and replaceparts.
4. MaintenanceSkills:
- Regular vehiclemaintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, brakechecks, and fluid replacements.
- Preventativemaintenance to ensure vehicles run efficiently andsafely.
5. Knowledge ofVehicle Brands andModels:
- Familiaritywith different brands, makes, and models of vehicles to providespecialized repair andmaintenance.
6.CustomerService:
- Ability tocommunicate effectively with customers, explaining problems andproviding repair solutions.
- Offeringmaintenance advice or service recommendations toclients.
