  • Operates basic laboratory equipmentsuch as balances, pH meter, colorimeter, spectrophotometer,autoclave, evaporator, etc.
  • Prepares (andassures accuracy of) standards, reagents, etc. needed foranalyses.
  • Acid washes glassware and speciallycleans other equipment and areas asrequired.
  • Functions as primary data generator,records and calculates data, signs assaysheets.
  • Performs routine lab and departmentmaintenance to keep area clean andorderly.
  • Interpret customer requests andperform receiving and log-infunctions.
  • Conducts preliminary interpretationsof data or observations, and drafts short reports tosupervisor.
  • Carries out assignments in atimely, diligent, and safe manner and performs work in accordancewith NQAC SOPs.
  • Assures adherence to safetyregulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.Provide assurance of quality and support of quality processes forthe Laboratory/Center.
  • Assure quality ofresults by assisting with establishment and maintenance of QAdocuments, plans and ICPs.
  • Document QA data andreport to lead or management.
  • Assure equipmentis maintained in reliable working order and make repairs ormodifications within the capability of the Technician or requestrepairs. Processes/Methods
  • Identify and resolveprocess or analytical methodologyproblems.
  • Assist in write-up, review, andprovide proper documentation for processes or methods as experienceallows. Training
  • Attend internal and externaltraining programs as assigned bymanagement.
  • On-the-job instruction under directsupervision of other technicians orscientists.
  • Training other associates asexperience and job needs dictate.
