Installation: Set up new AC units, split systems, and air handlers according to safety codes and manufacturer instructions.
Maintenance: Perform routine checkups, clean filters and coils, and lubricate moving parts.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using gauges, multimeters, and leak detectors.
Repairs: Replace broken compressors, fix wiring, and recharge refrigerant levels.

High school diploma plus a trade certificate or technical training in HVAC.
Experience: 1 to 5 years of hands-on experience working with cooling and refrigeration systems.
Certifications: Valid driver's license and relevant regional certifications (such as an EPA universal card).
Physical Skills: Ability to lift heavy gear, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces or hot environments.
