Roles and responsibilities

As Workday Technical Consultant youcan make a difference by developing and maintaining the technicalaspects of Workday. You will be part of the IT team focused on HRsupport for the entire Boskalis group. With your team you will workclosely with HR and together with another technical colleague,manage the technical side of the Workday application and connectingsystems. You will act as the intermediary between IT and HR. Youwill support the organization and the business by using analysis,knowledge, and creativity to transform HR-related challenges intoactionable insights.

YourResponsibilities As Workday Technical ConsultantIs

  • Provideexpert technical support for Workday, Workday Studio and WorkdayExtend.
  • Manage and coordinate data integrationwith systems like Master data management, Payroll andERP.
  • Advice HR and IT colleagues on technicalfeasibility within the application.
  • Participatein day-to-day technical support and further development of Workdayand its roadmap.
  • Lead various projects relatedto implementing Workday and payroll systems for multiple Boskalisentities worldwide and optimizing/buildingintegrations.
  • Contribute to building aprofessional team.

YourQualities

You can make yourmark as workday technical consultant if you have:

  • At least 5 years in positions such asTechnical Application Consultant with experience in Workday andWorkday studio.
  • Proficient in integration toother systems and knowledgeable in SQL and querylanguages.
  • A completed bachelor's ormaster's degree, preferably in IT, econometrics,statistics, mathematics or technicalfield.
  • Thorough knowledge of Workday HCM,Onboarding, Time Tracking, Absence, and Performance Management froma technical perspective.
  • Strong analyticalskills, pragmatic, results-driven, structured approach, andwell-developed data skills.
  • Self-startercomfortable in a dynamic, complex, international environment, witha willingness to travel internationally (frequent travel to theNetherlands in the first year).

1. CoreResponsibilities

  • WorkdayImplementation andConfiguration:

    • Analyzebusiness requirements and translate them into Workdaysolutions.
    • Configure Workday modules such asHCM,Finance,Payroll,Recruiting, or TimeTracking.
    • Implement Workdaysecurity settings to ensure data privacy andcompliance.

  • IntegrationDevelopment:

    • Design,build, and support integrations between Workday and third-partysystems using Workday tools such as WorkdayStudio, EIB (Enterprise InterfaceBuilder), PICOF (Payroll IntegrationCommon Output File), and Workday WebServices (WWS).
    • Test andtroubleshoot integrations to ensure seamless dataflow.

  • SystemMaintenance:

    • Provideongoing technical support for Workday applications, ensuring smoothsystem performance.
    • Manage Workday updates andreleases, testing new features and ensuring compatibility withexistingconfigurations.

  • DataManagement:

    • Performdata migration and transformation using tools likeEIB or customsolutions.
    • Develop and execute data validationand reconciliation processes to ensure dataintegrity.

  • Reportingand Analytics:

    • Createcustom reports using Workday ReportWriter and Workday PrismAnalytics.
    • Develop dashboardsand analytics to help stakeholders make data-drivendecisions.

  • Collaboration:

    • Workwith cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, IT) to gatherrequirements and ensure the successful delivery of Workdaysolutions.
    • Train end-users and providedocumentation for Workday functionality andprocesses.
