Weare seeking a dedicated HSE Engineer to join our Project ManagementConsultancy (PMC) team for a transportation project entering theDesign & Build (D&B) phase. The selected candidatewill work under the HSE Manager and be responsible for ensuring theD&B contractors compliance with health safety andenvironmental (HSE) standards andregulations.

RolesandResponsibilities

  • Assistin the development and implementation of the HSE strategy policiesand procedures for the project.
  • Conduct regularsite inspections and audits to identify potential hazards andensure corrective actions areimplemented.
  • Review and approve the contractorsHSE plans risk assessments and methodstatements.
  • Monitor and ensure the D&Bcontractors compliance with HSE standards regulations andprojectspecific requirements.
  • Provide HSEguidance and support to the project team contractors andstakeholders.
  • Participate in incidentinvestigations and ensure root causes are identified and correctiveactions are implemented.
  • Prepare and presentHSE reports including statistics trends and recommendations forimprovement.
  • Coordinate and conduct HSEtraining and awareness programs for project personnel andcontractors.
  • Liaise with regulatory authoritiesand ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained andmaintained.
  • Promote a positive HSE culture andensure continuous improvement in HSEperformance.
  • Participate in project meetingsand provide updates on HSEmatters.

Qualificationsand EducationalRequirements

  • Bachelorsdegree in Occupational Health and Safety Environmental ScienceEngineering or a related field.
  • Professionalcertification in HSE (e.g. NEBOSH IOSH CSP) is highlydesirable.

KnowledgeandExperience

  • Minimumof 710 years of experience in HSE management with a focus on largeinfrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in aPMC environment acting as a clientrepresentative.
  • Indepth knowledge of HSEregulations standards and bestpractices.
  • Experience in conducting HSE auditsinspections and incident investigations.
  • Strongunderstanding of risk assessment and managementprinciples.
  • Excellent communication leadershipand interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to workeffectively in a multidisciplinary team and manage multiplestakeholders.

PreferredSkills

  • Experience inthe rail or metro industry.
  • Familiarity withproject management principles andpractices.
  • Proficiency in using HSE managementsoftware and tools.
  • Strong organizational andtime management skills.
  • Ability to influenceand drive a positive HSEculture.
