  • To ensureeach section of the Engineering is managed effectively and resultsin maximizing productivity and quality ofwork.
  • Ensure the effective operationsmanagement of the engineering department by setting maintenancestandards implementing preventive maintenance programs for allengineering utilities and ensuring that performance of equipmentare regularly monitored and reviewed.  Responsible for thegeneral complaints of maintenance the preparation of equipment datasheets and spares requisitions for equipment failure and theirimplementation and submission to management.
  • Toprovide monthly work plan to DOE/CE forapproval.
    • Report to CE onall aspects of engineering environmental controls and theoperational efficiency of the property.
    • Toensure adherence to all statutory regulations and fire codes byregularly reviewing policies and safety procedures. Ensure that any tests and inspections required on plant bystatutory authorities are carried out as and when required and thatall records and documentation associated with such tests andsurveys are correctly kept and/or displayed.  Ensure thatthe hotel fulfils all compliancerequirements.
    • Plans and implements a preventivemaintenance program to try and achieve zero defects for allequipment in the Hotel
    • Ensure that plant andequipment is correctly operated M & Eplant and equipment to suit the needs of thehotel
    • Coordinates and assists management ofhotel on internal campaign and activities of energy conservationprogramme.
      • Ensure the costeffectiveness and technical efficiency of all services performed byoutside contracts by close supervision.  Ensure all workis carried out in accordance with contracts leases servicesagreements andwarranties.

Qualifications:

  • Previousexperience in a similar role preferably in ahospitality
    • Strongtechnical skills and knowledge of mechanical electrical andplumbing systems.
    • Excellent problemsolvingabilities and attention to detail.
    • Ability towork independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and demandingenvironment.
    • Effective communication andinterpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work flexiblehours including nights weekends andholidays.
