With a commitment to external and internal customers, Senior Project Managers optimize project planning and execution for unique Markets, guided by the TAIT Project Process. With the support of Projects leadership, the position participates in Bidding and Development of new opportunities within their Market focus and establishes core teams as projects approach confirmation. Senior Project Managers build on excellence as a Project Manager, demonstrating their mastery of managing Scope, Schedule, and Budget, finding success by leading high performance teams that exhibit TAIT's Leadership and Inclusive Culture framework. At their best, Senior Project Managers favour leadership through context, while relying on select moments for command-and-control engagement. As relationships in, and mastery of, unique Markets are established, Senior Project Managers begin with a small team and limited portfolio, including allocated resources from other disciplines, expanding their influence as Projects successfully deliver the outcomes of Happy Team, Happy Customer, and at a Margin. Responsibilities Project OversightSupport project teams in planning and delivery, grounded in the TAIT Project ProcessLead or coach development of project budgets, budget monitoring, tracking, and reportingLead or coach project team check-ins, including critical evaluation of scope, schedule, and budget progressGuide project teams to leverage subject matter experts, Technical Leads, and Functional leadersFacilitate project team collaboration to overcome challenges while maintaining appropriate quality levelsCoordinate project team resources and resolve priorities in conjunction with Functional leadersEnsure Local and Global leaders are aware of high risk or complexity project progressActive Project ManagementPerform the duties as described in the Project Manager job descriptionLead project planning and delivery, grounded in the TAIT Project ProcessBe accountable for the project team, scope, schedule, and budgetBidding and DevelopmentRepresent Project Management on all assigned BidsEnsure accuracy and quality of Bids, based on Market best practicesParticipate in Design Development to ensure ownership of scope, schedule, and budgetBusiness Development and Account ManagementAssume commercial accountability for projects and relationships, especially within specialized MarketsMaintain and develop customer relationships, in collaboration with Business DevelopmentAct as Account Manager for customers that hold long standing relationships with TAITEnsure customer communication is coordinated with Business Development and Market LeadersMaintain CRM dataDepartment LeadershipMaintain department culture and standardsPromote best practices, innovations, successes, and lessons learnedLead or participate in Lessons Learned sessions for active or completed projectsDrive or participate in departmental improvement and initiativesContribute and maintain training and reference materialsEnsure commitment to TAIT Project Process and all Department ActivitiesRegularly monitor and cascade department and organization communicationOrganizational LeadershipAttend Organizational meetings and trainingExhibit and promote behavior that reflects TAIT's Leadership and Inclusive Culture frameworkCollaborate with Project leadership and teams in all TAIT locationsEngage cross-functionally to promote teamwork and ensure optimized processesPosition Requirements Degree: Engineering, Technical Theatre or Live Event related field # Years of Experience : 7+ years experience in Entertainment or Construction industry Preferred Experience : Technical Theater Live Event Production Project Management Construction Management Commercial and Contractual responsibilities Proven track record of managing profitable projects Proven ability to prioritize across multiple projects Intermediate (or higher) proficiency with Microsoft Office Familiarity with Slack and Box TAIT is an equal opportunity employer fully committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
