JobSummary:

We are seeking anenthusiastic and qualified Math Teacher to teachstudents in Grades 5 to 9 for one of our reputedschool in A. The successful candidate will be responsible fordelivering highquality lessons that focus on developing studentsmathematical skills and problemsolving abilities. This rolerequires strong teaching methods effective classroom management andthe ability to inspire students to appreciate mathematics and itsrealworld applications.

KeyResponsibilities:

  1. LessonPlanning andDelivery:

    • Planand deliver engaging ageappropriate lessons that align with thecurriculum and the needs of students in Grades 5 to9.
    • Teach a variety of mathematicaltopics such as arithmetic algebra geometry statistics andprecalculus based on the gradelevel.
    • Use a variety of teachingmethods (visual aids digital tools handson activities) to makelessons interesting and accessible to alllearners.

  2. ClassroomManagement:

    • Establishand maintain a productive classroom environment that is conduciveto learning.
    • Manage classroombehavior ensuring students stay on task and behaverespectfully.
    • Encourage students toengage in critical thinking collaboration and inquiry duringlessons.

  3. StudentDevelopment:

    • Monitorstudents academic progress and provide individualized support whenneeded.
    • Identify areas wherestudents may need extra help and provide targetedintervention.
    • Foster a growthmindset in students encouraging perseverance confidence and apositive attitude towardmath.

  4. AssessmentandReporting:

    • Assessstudents understanding of mathematical concepts through testsquizzes assignments andprojects.
    • Maintain accurate anduptodate records of student progress andachievement.
    • Provide constructivefeedback to students parents and guardians on performance and areasforimprovement.

  5. ExtraCurricularActivities:

    • Participatein schoolwide activities such as math competitions afterschoolstudy groups and other mathrelatedevents.
    • Help organize and supportmathfocused initiatives promoting enthusiasm for the subjectoutside of regularlessons.

  6. CollaborationwithColleagues:

    • Workclosely with other teachers administrators and staff to support theacademic growth ofstudents.
    • Contribute to thedevelopment and improvement of the math curriculum ensuring itmeets educational standards and studentneeds.

  7. ProfessionalDevelopment:

    • Continuouslyupdate teaching methods resources and knowledge of the subject tostay current with changes in the curriculum and teachingpractices.
    • Attend school meetingsworkshops and professional development opportunities to enhanceteachingskills.
Qualifications:
  • Education:A Bachelor s degree in Mathematics Education or a relatedfield.
  • Experience:Previous teaching experience (Grade 5 to 9) ispreferred.
EligibilityCriteria:
  • QFE7 (Bachelor s Degree) in Education Examples for Math Teacher: BEd(Education) BSc (Science Education) Valid teaching license in thesubject OR QFE 6 (Diploma) in the subject OR 1 year of teachingexperience in thesubject
  • Skills:
    • Strongknowledge of mathematics at the middle school level (Grade59).
    • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills to effectively engage students and collaboratewith colleagues.
    • Ability to makecomplex mathematical concepts accessible and engaging forstudents.
    • Strong classroommanagement and organizationalskills.
    • Proficiency in usingeducational technology and digital tools to enhancelearning.
  • Certifications(Preferred):
    • Teachingcertification (e.g. PGCE B.Ed.) isdesirable.
    • Additional certificationsin mathematics or teachingrelated fields are aplus.
