Build an understanding of customerpain points, requirements, and potential value that can bedelivered by advertising or merchantservices

Learn theadvertising or merchant services portfolio and the Amazonculture

Identify opportunities to improve ourproducts, services, processes, systems, andtools

Work with different parts of the Amazonbusiness to implement improvement projects, including working withcategory teams, product teams, and technical supportteams

Develop the analytical andproblem-solving skills that our people are knownfor

Support vendor managers as well asAmazonians in other functions, such as in-stock andmarketing

BasicQualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or will receivea Bachelor's or Master's Degree with agraduation date between December 2025 and June2027
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's orMaster's degree in business administration, management,economics, e-commerce, mathematics, engineering, statistics, orrelated field
  • Fluent written and verbalcommunication in English
  • Available to commencean internship between January and December 2025. Yes, our startdates are flexible You should then be available for 3-6 months,full time (40h/week).

Desired candidate profile

1.Vendor RelationshipManagement

  • Basicunderstanding of how to develop and maintain relationships withsuppliers and vendors.
  • Communication skills toassist in negotiating with suppliers and ensuring clear, open linesof communication between internal teams and externalpartners.

2. InventoryManagement

  • Knowledge ofinventory management principles and processes, such as stockordering, restocking, and tracking productquantities.
  • Ability to assist in monitoringstock levels and ensuring timely deliveries to prevent stockouts oroverstock situations.

3.Data Analysis andReporting

  • Analyticalskills to track product performance, sales trends, and vendorperformance.
  • Proficiency in Excel or similartools to generate reports and analyze data related to vendorperformance, product orders, and salestrends.

4.Problem-SolvingSkills

  • Ability toassist in identifying and resolving issues such as delivery delays,product quality concerns, or discrepancies between ordered andreceived goods.
  • Problem-solving skills toaddress supply chain or vendor-relatedchallenges.

5. ProjectCoordination

  • Organizationalskills to assist in managing multiple vendor projects, keepingtrack of deadlines, and ensuring that key milestones aremet.
  • Basic understanding of project managementtools and processes for coordinating with different teams withinthe retail organization.

6.CommunicationSkills

  • Strong verbaland written communication skills to interact with internalstakeholders, including procurement, sales, and logistics teams, aswell as external suppliers.
  • Ability to clearlycommunicate updates, needs, and expectations withvendors.

7. Attentionto Detail

  • Highattention to detail when handling purchase orders, contracts,delivery schedules, and invoices.
  • Ability tocatch discrepancies or issues in product deliveries or contractsand escalate them as necessary.

8.Understanding of RetailOperations

  • Afoundational understanding of retail operations, including productmerchandising, sales processes, and customer demandforecasting.
  • Familiarity with how vendorrelationships directly impact the retail business and itsprofitability.

9.Negotiation Skills(Basic)

  • Although as anintern, full negotiations may not be part of the role,understanding the basics of negotiation, such as pricing, deliveryterms, and lead times, is valuable.
  • Opportunityto observe and learn how senior managers negotiate with vendors andsuppliers.
