Responsibilities:

  1. Support the QES and HS Team with the implementation of the QHSE management systems and Zutari's Way We Work.
  2. When required, compile project specific quality, environmental and/or H&S plans.
  3. When required, compile H&S files which will include risk assessments and safe work procedures aligned with client and Zutari requirements.
  4. Conduct health and safety audits on Zutari projects. Review projects and advise project teams of compliance gaps.
  5. Maintain legal registers as applicable to quality, environment and H&S for the Middle East region. Monitor and promote legal compliance. Ensuring compliance with local and international health and safety regulations.
  6. Providing training and guidance to staff on QHSE matters.
  7. Investigate accidents and H&S and environmental incidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
  8. Collaborating with management to develop safety goals and objectives.
  9. Promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization as directed by the respective H&S and QES Leads.
  10. Attend local Operational meetings as required.
Qualifications and experience:

Required:
  1. Bachelor degree, Advanced Diploma, Post Graduate Certificate or Bachelor of Technology (e.g. BTech or BEng in QMS Technology, BCom/BA Law or LLB).
  2. 5 years experience in an administrative and/or management system related role.
  3. Qualification in ISO 9001:2015 from reputable course provider (e.g. BSI, LRQA). Work experience with quality management systems.
  4. Qualification in ISO 14001:2015. Work experience with environmental management systems.
  5. High level of digital competency and appetite to further develop digital literacy.
  6. NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent over and above the engineering qualification.
  7. Qualification in ISO 45001-2018.
  8. 5 years' experience on construction sites as a H&S practitioner.
  9. This person must have carried the designation as H&S Officer or H&S Engineer as used in the Middle East.
  10. Good command of written and spoken English.
  11. A valid driver's license.
Distinct advantages:
  1. Familiarity with ISO 10,005 Project Quality Plans.
  2. Qualification in ISO 27001:2022 from reputable course provider (e.g. BSI, LRQA).
  3. Working experience with information security management systems.
  4. Qualification in ISO 19650:2021 from reputable course provider (e.g.BSI, Operam). Work experience with BIM management systems.
  5. Incident investigation techniques.
Desirable:
  1. Qualification in project management (PMBOK).
  2. Qualification in ISO 31000, risk management.
  3. Qualification in ISO 45001:2018. Work experience with health & safety management systems.
  4. Computer competency requirements:
  5. Intermediate or advanced Excel skills, including developing macros, slicers, pivots, lookups, linking to/extracting from multiple data sources.
  6. Intermediate skills in Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams.
  7. Power BI, Microsoft apps like Planner, Forms, PowerApps, basic HTML will be advantageous.
  8. Familiarity with document control systems like Aconex, ProjectWise, Adobe Construction Cloud or similar will be advantageous.
  9. Familiarity with visual tools like Adobe Creative, Photoshop, Lightroom, Canva will be advantageous.
