  • Establish an appropriate andcost-effective 3-5 years technology strategy in line with theEmirates Group IT Strategy,
  • Integrate ITstrategy into the defined business area to ensure full exploitationand alignment for the Group's bestinterest.
  • Manage the complexity resulting fromdelivering solutions for a wide breadth of strategic,revenue-generating, operationally critical business units withinthe Emirates Group. Develop and maintain highly effective,credible, and influential relationships with senior stakeholders,enabling re-use, optimisation, and group-wide initiatives to bediscussed and implemented when appropriate. Represent IT in thesenior management team of the business area and influence seniorbusiness managers on strategic business IT investment decisions tomeet their business needs within a Groupperspective.
  • Deliver technology solutions tothe business, and lead a cross-functional IT delivery capabilityconsisting of demand management, technical product management,agile delivery, software engineering, and systems integration andservice management. Ensure optimal performance, scalability, andsecurity of the infrastructure (while staying updated withtechnological advancements).
  • Promote closecollaboration and integration with all other IT departments. Drivea culture of customer intimacy through a business orientationframework and provide input in areas of partner and suppliermanagement, risk management, service management, softwareengineering and operations, IT strategy, and architecture.Introduce measures to monitor satisfaction levels and driveimprovement across IT. Ensure satisfaction levels are communicatedthroughout IT and are part of targetingobjectives.
  • Lead the delivery of the businessIT annual work programme Accountable for the financial managementof the IT budgets for the business area, ensuring it aligns withand supports business strategy based on customer needs. Negotiateand agree on the annual work program with senior businessstakeholders, ensuring it remains in line with the overall ITstrategy. Ensure cost-effective business cases and optimal resourceallocation.
  • Identify business performance focusareas, strategic themes, and Portfolio-level EPICS. Use LeanPortfolio Management to identify new IT initiatives in order todrive value creation (e.g., revenue generation and optimisation).Ensure facilitation of the evaluation, implementation and benefitsrealisation that will delivery significant change and have asubstantial impact on these critical businessprocesses.
