MainResponsibilities

  • Conduct design reviews and providetechnical guidance to the team
  • Ensure thedesign aligns with client requirements, and is in compliance withcurrent UAE legislation, industry standards and specificationswhere appropriate
  • Manage all aspects of the MEPdesign production process to ensure the overall design is alignedto and directly supports the achievement of program'sstrategic objectives
  • Participate inestablishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnershipsto manage the design and its approval, across the projectstakeholders
  • Assist the Senior Design Managerin the preparation of a detailed project plan, as part of theProject Management Plan, for the MEP design phases of theprogram
  • Manage the day-to-day MEP designmonitoring activities and resources and actively participate in thedesign team meetings
  • Ensure that all MEP designrelated project KPIs, targets, directions and instructions arecommunicated to all relevant project stakeholders in a clear andtimely manner
  • Coordination between otherdisciplines
  • Provide status reporting regardingMEP design milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues,communicating across leadership
  • Participateand/or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposalsfor evaluation by appropriate keystakeholders
  • Act as an internal quality controlcheck for the MEP design documentation
  • Ensurethat designs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budgetand quality standards
  • Manage design issues andrisks to mitigate impact to baselineprogram
  • Extensive understanding of project andprogram management principles, methods andtechniques
Desired candidate profile
  • BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, or BuildingServices Engineering, or related field
  • Designof infrastructure and building projects within a Consultingenvironment in Abu Dhabi
  • Minimum of 10 yearsoverall experience
  • Minimum of 5years' experience in a similarrole
  • Minimum of 5 years working in MiddleEast
  • In-depth knowledge of MEP systems(including HVAC, plumbing lighting, power, fire protection)building codes, regulations, and industrystandards
  • Ability to interrogate load demandcalculations.
  • Excellent report writing andcommunication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Officeand AutoCAD and other industry standard software as applicable torole
  • Exhibit exceptional interpersonal skillsto collaborate effectively with diversestakeholders
  • A high standard of spoken andwritten English, Arabic speaking advantageous.
