AtkinsRealisa leading global design engineering and project managementconsultancy is looking for a skilled and experienced Land Surveyorto join our team in the UAE. The successful candidate will beresponsible for performing a variety of surveying duties onconstruction sites to ensure that projects are completed incompliance with legal requirements project specifications andquality standards.

The Land Surveyor will workdirectly with site operations teams to provide precise measurementsdata and support throughout the construction process. This rolerequires a deep understanding of surveying techniques localregulations and construction practices ensuring accuracy and safetyat all stages of the project.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Surveyingand Data Collection:
    Conduct land surveys includingboundary surveys topographical surveys and construction staking.Provide precise measurements data and analysis to ensure compliancewith project specifications.
  • SettingOut:
    Perform setting out and marking of control points andboundaries for construction works as per designdocuments.
  • Monitoring andAdjustments:
    Monitor and adjust survey equipment as neededfor accuracy ensuring that all instruments are calibrated andmaintained to meet project standards.
  • SiteOperations Support:
    Collaborate with site engineersproject managers and other team members to ensure efficient siteoperations and accurate reporting of surveyresults.
  • Reporting:
    Prepare andmaintain clear concise survey reports including measurementcalculations and layout plans for review and approval by seniormanagement and project teams.
  • Compliance andQuality Assurance:
    Ensure that all surveying work adheresto the relevant industry standards local regulations andAtkinsRealis quality assuranceprocedures.
  • ProblemSolving:
    Identifyand resolve any issues or discrepancies related to surveys landmeasurements or site conditions proposing practical solutions inconsultation with senior staff.
  • Health andSafety:
    Follow and enforce all safety procedures tomaintain a safe working environment on site in line withAtkinsRealis and local regulatoryrequirements.
  • Collaboration andCommunication:
    Communicate effectively with all sitepersonnel clients and stakeholders ensuring a smooth flow ofinformation between teammembers.

Requirements:

EducationalQualification:

  • Bachelors degree ordiploma in Land Surveying Civil Engineering or a relatedfield.

ProfessionalExperience:

  • Minimum 810 years ofrelevant experience in land surveying particularly withinconstruction projects in the UAE or GCCregion.
  • Experience with modern surveying toolsincluding Total Stations GPS and 3D scanningequipment.
  • Familiarity with the UAEs local landsurvey standards and regulations is highlyadvantageous.

Skills andCompetencies:

  • Strong technicalproficiency in surveying equipment and software (e.g. AutoCAD Civil3D LSS).
  • Good knowledge of surveying techniquesdata analysis and topographical surveys.
  • Strongattention to detail and ability to work in a fastpacedenvironment.
  • Excellent problemsolving abilitiesand critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to workindependently and as part of a collaborativeteam.
  • Good communication and interpersonalskills with the ability to interact effectively with colleaguesclients and otherstakeholders.

LanguageRequirements:

  • Fluency in English (bothwritten and verbal). Knowledge of Arabic is aplus
