Roles and responsibilities
  • Identification andcompliance with applicable international standards and bestpractice.
  • Development & sign-off oflocal standards and guidelines asrequired.
  • Ensuring that the technical contentof procedures and guidelines are up to date and technicallysound.
  • Collaborate with QA/QC departments toset up sound standards such as ITPs and RoS checklists for themanufacturing, installation and commissioning stages of newprojects of respective technology.
  • Ensuringbest maintenance practices are applied in all wind projects towardsbest plants'performance

RiskIdentification andMitigation

  • Ensure assetspecific risks are identified and mitigated to ensure safe andreliable operation of assets.
  • Approve keyengineering changes to critical assets to ensure designintegrity.
  • Identify vendors with equipmentcausing continued reliability issues
  • Providetechnical support in RCAs led by Business areas engineering, to theextent required.
  • Jointly participate in QA/QCinspections and follow ups during project early stages to theextent required to ensure assets reliability and integrity duringoperation.
  • Report quality in all maintenanceactivities and provide guidance to continuously and effectivelyimprove it.

EngineeringSupport

  • Design reviewand review of equipment technical specifications for both, Windturbine Generators and Electrical BoPs.
  • Mustleverage industry experience, equipment knowledge, softwareknow-how, to support world class predictive analytics andmonitoring solutions.
  • Participate, whenappropriate, and contribute to near miss investigations byproviding the technical expertise in thediscipline.
  • Identifying long term solutions forassigned tasks related to reliability issues that are deemed safetycritical / urgent / high value to keystakeholders.
  • Participate in the relevantnetwork groups and provide guidance on Best Practices. EnsureREX/lessons learned are implemented.
  • Attendasset specific internationalconferences.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring andtraining on the wind technologies installed covering allmaintenance activities, particularly in troubleshooting towardsbest efficiency and WTGs availability.
  • EnsureLessons learned and best practices are shared across Windfleet.
  • Be 2nd level support for troubleshootingactivities towards shortest mean times torepair.

Projects

  • Review and validateVendor/OEM Listing for new projects.
  • Beresponsible for providing technical approval for asset specificplant or process changes / modification.
  • Beresponsible for review and approval of Safety System Changes withintheir discipline.
Desired candidate profile
  • University degree in Engineering discipline.Master's degree is a plus.
  • Vastknowledge and experience in maintenance of clean energy assets,preferablywind.

RequiredSkills

  • Technicalknowledge on Vestas and/ or Envision technologies, with strongpractical hands on experience as service technician. Strongmotivation and ability to transfer knowledge and experience astechnical trainer.. Detailed knowledge and excellent understandingof: Power generation O&M, Asset LifecycleManagement.
  • World class knowledge of assetspecific design, construction, operation and failuremodes.
  • Motivation to learn extensivelytechnology of main Chinese Wind Turbine Generatormanufacturers.
  • Technical knowledge andexperience in Electrical BoPs ispreferable.
  • Motivation to work by technicalassignments/ campaigns with specific targets across the Windfleet
  • Willingness to travel frequently withpotential temporary relocation as per the assignmentrequirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills andproficient in English communication– verbal andwritten.
