Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed 3D models ofMechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems using BIM softwarelike Revit AutoCAD MEP or similar tools.
  • Createand update models for HVAC electrical systems plumbing fireprotection and ELV systems based on projectspecifications.
  • Perform clash detection usingsoftware like Navisworks to identify and resolve conflicts betweenMEP systems and other buildingdisciplines.
  • Coordinate with structural andarchitectural teams to ensure the seamless integration of allsystems within the overall buildingdesign.
  • Prepare detailed MEP shop drawingsfabrication drawings and installation plans derived from the BIMmodels.
  • Ensure the models and drawings complywith local regulations project standards and clientrequirements.
  • Update and maintain MEP BIMmodels throughout the design and construction phases incorporatingchanges revisions and asbuilt data asrequired.
  • Ensure models are accurate up to dateand accessible to relevant projectstakeholders.
  • Work closely with engineersarchitects and construction teams to ensure the successfulimplementation of the MEP systems.
  • Attendcoordination meetings and design review sessions to present anddiscuss model progress and issues.
  • Extractquantities and material lists from the BIM model for costestimation procurement and projectscheduling.
  • Assist in creating 4D models bylinking timebased schedules with BIM models for constructionplanning.
  • Ensure that all MEP designs andmodels adhere to industry standards building codes andprojectspecific requirements.
  • Conduct regularquality checks and reviews of the BIM models for accuracyconsistency and completeness.
  • Manage andmaintain the BIM data associated with the MEP systems includingparametric details and specifications.
  • Work oncreating and managing family libraries templates and standardizedpractices within the BIM environment.
  • Prepareand maintain accurate documentation of BIM workflows methodologiesand processes followed during theproject.
  • Generate and submit regular reports onBIM model status clash detection results and updates to the projectteam.

KeyQualifications:

  • Diploma ordegree in Mechanical Electrical Plumbing Engineering or a relatedfield such as Building Services Engineering or CAD/BIMdesign.
  • Advanced skills in Revit MEP andAutoCAD MEP for creating and managing MEP systemsmodels.
  • Experience with Navisworks for clashdetection and model coordination.
  • Familiaritywith additional software such as Dynamo BIM 360 or Tekla would be aplus.
  • Knowledge of Mechanical Electrical andPlumbing systems design and construction with at least 5 years ofhandson modeling experience in thesefields.
  • Practical understanding of HVACelectrical systems plumbing layouts fire protection systems and ELV(Extra Low Voltage) systems.
  • Demonstratedability to identify and resolve conflicts using clash detectionsoftware ensuring efficient coordination between MEP systems andother building disciplines (architecturalstructural).
  • Ability to prepare detailed MEPshop drawings installation drawings and fabrication documentsensuring accuracy and adherence to industrystandards.
