Due to the tremendous growthoccurring we currently have an opportunity for a LeadPrincipal Urban Plannerto work in a multidisciplinary team of designers andengineers. The fastpaced work environment enables team members towork on a variety of projects. This is an ideal opportunity for anindividual looking to develop their international experience with aworldrenowned multidisciplinaryconsultant.

Responsibilities:

  • Contributeto the design and delivery of a variety of projects often happeningconcurrently.
  • Take ownership of medium to largescale design and production packages under the supervision of theDesign/Project Director.
  • Organise and graphiclydevelop client presentations.
  • Work to aprogramme for deliverables and advise senior staff of any issueswhich may affect delivery.
  • Work within agreeddesign standards and parameters with seniorstaff.
  • Ensure the quality of deliverables meetthe expectations of senior staff.
  • Work within amultidisciplinary multicultural team.
  • Undertaketechnical coordination with otherdisciplines.

Requirements

  • Degreeof post graduate qualification in urban design urban planninglandscape architecture or related field and preferably with aprofessional affiliation (or eligible formembership)
  • Candidates will ideally haveminimum 15 years relevant working experience in urban design urbanplanning and master planning
  • Lead theproduction of highquality urban planning design and master planningproject submissions in the UAE KSA and the wider Middle East andAfrica
  • Lead in the preparation of technicalbids and fee proposals for master planning and urban designprojects and other major infrastructure projects whereappropriate
  • Strong design and graphicscapabilities and ability to communicate ideas via various visualand graphic media including hand and computergraphics
  • Fully conversant with Adobe CreativeSuite with demonstrable graphics and visualisationskills
  • Competent in PowerPoint MS Word Exceland AutoCAD
  • Experience in working with amultidisciplinary team desirable
  • Strong designmanagement report production and coordinationskills
  • An understanding of sustainabilityissues within the public realm. (LEED or similar experience andadvantage)
  • Excellent communication skills inwritten and spoken English
  • Capable of workingon own initiative or as part of a larger multidisciplinaryteam
  • Have a logical and organized approach toproject delivery of project outputs
  • Will berequired to travel within the Middle East region to projects in avariety of geographical locations including SaudiArabia
  • Developing and maintaining relationshipswith clients attending meetings workshops andseminars
  • Other duties associated with the mainrole and responsibilities will be requested from time totime
