Be part of PMT client team overseeing EPC contractorsOversee Piping Engineering work being carried out by EPC contractors for major greenfield and brownfield projects as part of the Clients PMTPromote effective communication and challenge within the EPC Contractors Engineering team in order to foster the production of safe, cost effective, fit for purpose and constructible Piping designs.Provide technical leadership and decision making for Piping engineering work carried out by the EPC contractors.To participate in all project safety and design reviews as necessaryTo provide technical assistance, direction, and support during the construction and installation activitiesTo liaise and report to the Client's Senior Management on Piping Engineering Progress and Issues.Trouble-shooting the Piping design, identifying and resolving issues with engineering and / or fabricator by raising and resolution of Site / Technical Queries.To attend daily / weekly engineering progress meetings and generate status reports as requiredManagement of Change process including review of proposalsAssist construction personnel with general technical queries and detailsCollaborates with construction management to eliminate any hazards associated with the work that may adversely affect the environment or the safety or health of employeesProvides resolution for technical Piping engineering problems; coordinates application of solutionsTo ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule
Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years experience in the oil and gas industryMinimum of 5 years proven capability in an engineering design companyDemonstrated leadership experience and previous track record of successfully working in PMC teamExperience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferredPrevious experience of working for Wood is strongly preferredPrevious experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantageBachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Team Management : Supervising a team of piping engineers and designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and ensuring quality of work.
Project Coordination : Collaborating with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil) to ensure cohesive project development.
Compliance and Standards : Ensuring all piping designs and installations comply with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Risk Management : Identifying potential issues related to piping design or installation and developing strategies to mitigate risks.
Quality Control : Implementing quality assurance practices throughout the piping design and installation phases, conducting reviews and inspections.
Client Interaction : Liaising with clients to understand requirements, provide updates, and address concerns related to piping systems.
Budget and Schedule Management : Monitoring project costs and timelines related to piping work, making adjustments as necessary to stay on track.
Technical Support : Providing expert technical advice and support during project execution and troubleshooting any piping-related issues that arise.
