What You'llBe Doing

Functional Roles andResponsibilities:

  • Provide support, service and adviseon all financial matters to the company's management,i.e. budgets preparation, and presentation, management accounting,MIS and all other financial and non financial reports andstatements.
  • Liaise with all central and companydepartments for budgeting and forecasting purposes. Consolidateannual accounts and ensure timely audit of the annualaccounts.
  • Exercise budgetary controls,accounting and physical control as per laid down procedures ofasset management. Also exercise controls on other purchases andservices.
  • Ensure tax compliance; return filingfor timely basis wherever applicable.
  • Ensureproper insurance cover on company's assets incoordination with corporate finance.
    Carry out inventorycontrol function: like approval of orders, opening of L/Cs,retirement of documents, costing and pricing, insurance, review ofinventory ageing etc., to ensure that laid down norms areobserved.
  • Ensure that credit limit controls andprocedures are observed. Review collection and ageing of debtors.Advise management on credit limits and provide MIS and exceptionreporting.
    Monitor internal/ external payments on timelybasis and exercise internal controls so that payments are made asper the approved terms for goods and services supplied. Exercisecontrols on other purchases andservices.
  • Ensure that all accounting entriesare incorporated in the company accounts after they have beenapproved as per the schedule of authority. Ensure that accounts arekept up to date to reflect all the transaction of the business,including all reconciliation with the bankers, debtors, creditorsand groups companies.
  • Monitor bank balancesagainst the facilities to ensure that the company operates withinthe approved facilities. Project cash flows and advise appropriateauthorities in case of likely shortfall. Ensure controls areexercised in cash collections, cash held andbanking.
  • Forecast foreign exchange requirementsare communicated to HO Finance and advise any change as and whennecessary
  • Review monthly/Annual closingactivities in accordance with corporate policies and IFRS andensure timely submission of monthly managementreports.

  • 4 to 5 years post qualificationexperience
  • Knowledge/ experience ininternational accounting practice in a computerizedenvironment.
  • PC Literate with good Excelknowledge and exposure to ERPsolutions
  • Familiar with International FinancialReporting Standards.
  • Ability to analyzefinancial issues.
  • Excellent analytical,numerical and research skills
  • Goodorganizational and planning abilities including the ability to dealwith/work under pressure and tightdeadlines.
  • Able to communicate effectively withall level of stakeholders and have excellent negotiationskills.
