Roles and responsibilities
  • Develop and AutomateDabacon E3D, & Tekla interface processes for Engineering,integrate with enterprise engineering systems (Aveva,Autodesk,Trimble & Inhouse).
  • Responsible for liaising withEngineering SME's to identify requirements for businessprocess improvisation & defining the Requirement DefinitionSpecification.
  • Translate the requirementspecifications into Aveva and E3D/PDMS automation using the bestpractices defined by Aveva, Trimble and Petrofac GMS (GlobalBusiness Management System).
  • Train end users& rolling out the developments as standard methodologyacross projects and preparing relevant GMSprocedures.
  • Manage the process of change withrespect to E3D/PDMS, Tekla automation routines & carry outimpact analysis prior to implementing the change and supporting endusers for User Acceptance Testing (UAT)process.
  • Experience in Tekla modelling andsteel detailing.
  • Provide clear plans and goalsetting in managing the assignedactivities.
  • Solve problems and troubleshootingon critical issues on E3D/PDMS projects.
  • Engagewith software vendors & be up to date with latest versionof the application from time to time.
  • Interfacewith Clients & JV partners to manage projectdelivery.
  • Provides strategic support and inputinto the overall engineering vision and developmentplan.

Desired candidate profile
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree from anaccredited College or University and having 6 + years of experiencein 3D automation role in a head officeenvironment.
  • Understanding of businessprocesses from FEED to EPC and having worked in the oil and gasindustry.
  • Preference will be given tocandidates who have business process know how & developmentin Tekla in addition to the expertise with 3Dtools.
  • Knowledge of engineering activities inrelation to 3D systems.
  • Excellent knowledge ofE3D and PDMS automation, customisation of catalogues, drawings,libraries and standards.
  • Knowledge of DABACONdata structure.
  • Comprehensive programmingexpertise using PML, PML.NET, C#, SQLqueries.
  • Creations of APIs, scripts or newfeatures for wide range of products such as Trimble, Autodesk orany other inhouse products.
  • Must be able towork independently and play active role in the team and develop PMLcodes and interfaces as per GMS standards and Petrofac bestpractices and norms.
  • Able to develop logic tointegrate E3D/PDMS with other products & legacysystems.
  • Knowledge of Aveva ERM, Navisworks,Tekla and its meta data.
  • Knowledge of CADapplication such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and systems such assmart plant tools.
  • Develop and maintainCorporate Standard ProjectSetup.
  • Prioritization of business demand& Scheduling
  • Strong problem-solvingcapability with proactive and logicalapproach.
