One of the Leading groups in the GCC with operations across the region is now looking for a key individual to transform the Finance function.

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with its long-term business goals.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors to support decision-making and drive growth.
  • Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and planning processes to ensure the company's resources are allocated effectively.

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)

  • Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators to assess the company's financial health.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to inform strategic planning and operational adjustments.

Risk Management

  • Assess and mitigate financial risks, including market volatility, credit risk, and operational risks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
  • Implement robust internal controls and governance frameworks to safeguard company assets.

Capital Management

  • Manage the company's capital structure, including debt and equity financing, to optimize liquidity and support growth initiatives.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and lead mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities, if applicable.
  • Maintain relationships with investors, banks, and other financial institutions.

Operational Oversight

  • Supervise the finance and accounting teams, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Streamline financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., operations, sales, HR) to align financial goals with operational execution.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as the primary liaison for financial matters with the Board of Directors, investors, and external auditors.
  • Present financial performance updates and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Build trust and transparency through clear and consistent communication.

Technology and Innovation

  • Leverage financial technology (FinTech) and data analytics to enhance decision-making and reporting capabilities.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

Corporate Governance and Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, including tax filings and financial disclosures.
  • Promote ethical financial practices and maintain the highest standards of integrity.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive in a large complex group with a focus on logistics, supply chain, shipping or maritime.
  • A minimum of 20 years preferably in the GCC or western Europe.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret
  • complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities, capable of guiding
  • Cross-functional teams and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and other
  • Business intelligence tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Hyperion).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial data and strategic recommendations to the board and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis (FP&A), capital
  • management, risk management, and budgeting processes.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term vision with short-term execution.
