Roles and responsibilities

SlimmingTherapist is responsible for service delivery, inhouse revenue generation in slimming services under the generalguidance of the Center Manager and in coordination with otherslimming specialists such as Physiotherapists & Dietician.Provide customers with slimming consultations in an effective,excellent, and knowledgeable manner

Responsibilities:

  • Conductdaily slimming sales and operation assessments and monitor everyslimming transaction made in the SlimmingDepartment.
  • Provide slimming customers withregular follow up to evaluate theirprogress.
  • Work closely with slimming clientsfor different slimming programs, including weight loss and figurecorrection plans.
  • Perform body mass analysisand evaluate anthropometric, biochemical, and dietary history toassess client's nutritional status and nutritionalneeds.
  • Monitor and advise slimming clientsabout their dietary activity in line with their slimmingprogram.
  • To ensure that service delivery is100% as per clinic protocol.
  • To ensure timelycompletion of Zero Session as per Standard Operating Procedures(SOP).
  • To record client'smeasurements at: ➢ Enquiry stage ➢ Zero session stage ➢ After everymonth for full body Every session for spot reduction therapies asper SOP.
  • To ensure trolley, bed setting in thetherapy and appliance rooms as per the SOP and overall cleanlinessof the slimming services area.
  • To lay out anduse the products service wise as per SOP.
  • Toensure to disinfect appliance pads before every session and cleanthem weekly as per SOP.
  • To deliver expectedcentimeter loss through scientific servicedelivery.
  • To immediately highlight any programor medical contraindications seen during the session to theSlimming head immediately.
  • To keep in view andadhere to the Medical Contraindications with respect to Therapiesas directed by manager prior to respective client'ssession.
  • Check & record the weight ofeach client on the Client Program Record(CPR).
  • Check & record the weight ofeach client on Daily Record Register(DRR)
  • Review client's progress posteach session.
  • Provide a minimum of 15 minutesbed-side counseling each week post each slimmingsession
  • Recommend need based slimmingtreatments for upselling/rebooking.
  • In absenceof the physiotherapists to provide customized activity plans toclients
  • Ensure clients meet the targeted weightloss targets set by the Clinic Manager
  • Counseland guide clients facing weight plateaus and suggest appropriatecourse of action.
  • Responsible for generalupkeep of the slimming department. Any dysfunction of appliances tobe immediately escalated to manager.
  • Toregularly update and correctly complete all relateddocumentation.
  • To ensure documentation aremaintained accurately. Prepare and maintain all necessary reports /paperwork on a regular basis.
  • Ensure accuracyand completeness of appointment planner.
  • Ensureaccuracy of all relevant financial and operational data iscaptured, maintained and reported timely.
  • Toensure related medical problems of clients to be consulted withManager before starting treatment for properresults.
  • Performs lymphatic massage under thesupervision of a physician.
  • Plan and executeindoor and outdoor events timely.
  • To constantlyupgrade oneself and multitask to achieve the progressionlevel.
  • Perform outdoor duties incase slimmingevents are organized beyond centerpremises.
  • Performs all duties in a professionaland confidential manner

1. Manual TherapyTechniques

  • SwedishMassage: A technique involving long, smooth strokes,kneading, and circular movements to relax and improvecirculation.
  • Deep TissueMassage: Focuses on deeper layers of muscles andconnective tissue to relieve chronic pain and muscletension.
  • SportsMassage: Tailored to athletes, this technique isdesigned to prevent injuries, enhance flexibility, and relievesoreness after physicalactivity.
  • Trigger PointTherapy: Focuses on areas of tight muscle fibersthat can cause pain elsewhere in thebody.
  • MyofascialRelease: Targets the fascia (connective tissuesurrounding muscles) to reduce stiffness and increaseflexibility.

2. Anatomyand PhysiologyKnowledge

  • Understandingthe body: A strong understanding of human anatomyand muscle groups is essential for effectively applying massagetechniques to target specific areas of tension orpain.
  • Bodymechanics: Knowing how to work with the body in waysthat prevent injury to the client and thetherapist.

3.Assessment andEvaluation

  • Identifyingclient needs: Listening to clients'concerns, assessing muscle tension or pain points, and tailoringthe massage based on theirneeds.
  • Posturalanalysis: Recognizing posture issues that maycontribute to muscle tension and designing sessions to addressthose issues.

4.CommunicationSkills

  • ClientInteraction: Establishing a comfortable environmentfor clients, listening to their concerns, and clearly explainingtechniques or how the massage willhelp.
  • Feedback:Encouraging open communication during the session to ensure thepressure is comfortable and the massage iseffective.

5.Relaxation and Stress ManagementTechniques

  • Creatinga calming environment: Setting the tone with softmusic, lighting, and aromatherapy to promoterelaxation.
  • Breathingtechniques: Helping clients focus on deep breathingto encourage relaxation during themassage.

6. CustomerService

  • Buildingrapport: Establishing trust with clients so theyfeel comfortable and caredfor.
  • Confidentiality andprofessionalism: Maintaining professional boundariesand respecting clients' privacy duringsessions.
