Roles and responsibilities
  • Responsible for runningthe DC operations which involves multiple functions like:Receiving, putaway,

dispatch, inventory control& quality

  • DCsupervisor is responsible for DC level KPIs and is required tooptimize and continue improving

processes to reach the KPIstargets.

  • DC supervisor isaccountable for health & safety, stock levels, availabilityand cost among many other KPIs
  • Focused on localactivities, however will have light interactions with regional andcentral teams to drive improvements.
  • Workclosely with demand planner, commercial, operations, procurement,inventory control & finance
  • Manage:20-30 employees, and is responsible for monthly connects,development plans and attendance
  • DC supervisoris expected to oversee inventory, availability andcost
  • Collaborate with the demand planning teamto optimize on purchases, availability andinventory
  • Work with finance team to optimizethe operating costs

What Did WeOrder?

  • You have at least5-7 years of experience in warehousing & DC with Fruits& Vegetables experience.
  • You havetechnical fresh food knowledge that enables you to provide yourmanager with accurate information
  • Solidknowledge of all DC operations, inventory control and basic financeknowledge
  • You are someone energized by theunknown and look forward to learning each day on thejob.
  • Good communication skills, and always liketo be hands-on with severaltools.
  • Additionally, you have robustinterpersonal and interculturalskills.
  • Language Skills: Very Good Englishwould be highly advantageous.
  • Computer Skills:Computer Skills: Very Good in Excel, ERPsystem

1.Leadership and TeamManagement

  • Ability tolead and motivate a team, providing direction and support to ensurehigh performance.
  • Strong communication andinterpersonal skills to manage relationships with warehouse staff,drivers, and other stakeholders.
  • Capability toprovide clear instructions, delegate tasks, and monitor theperformance of distribution staff.

2.Logistics and DistributionKnowledge

  • Deepunderstanding of distribution processes, including inventorymanagement, order fulfillment, and shippinglogistics.
  • Knowledge of warehouse managementsystems (WMS) and transportation management systems(TMS).
  • Familiarity with best practices inmanaging distribution operations, including packaging, labeling,and routing.

3.Problem-SolvingSkills

  • Ability toquickly identify problems or delays in the distribution process andtake corrective action to resolvethem.
  • Managing unexpected challenges, such asshipment delays, inventory shortages, or miscommunications withvendors.

4. InventoryControl

  • Monitoringinventory levels to ensure that the correct quantities of productsare available for distribution withoutoverstocking.
  • Ensuring proper storageconditions to prevent damage or loss of goods duringdistribution.
  • Overseeing the accuracy ofinventory records and handlingdiscrepancies.

5. TimeManagement

  • Ensuringthat distribution operations are efficient and meet deliverydeadlines.
  • Balancing multiple tasks, such ascoordinating shipments, managing inventory, and leading the team,within tight schedules.
  • Managing resourceseffectively to meet the distribution needs of thebusiness.

6. Complianceand SafetyKnowledge

  • Ensuring thatthe distribution process follows industry regulations, companypolicies, and safety standards.
  • Supervisingstaff to ensure compliance with safety protocols and properhandling of hazardous or sensitivematerials.
  • Conducting regular safety checks andaddressing potential hazards in the distributioncenter.

7. DataManagement andReporting

  • Usingdistribution management software to track deliveries, inventorylevels, and shipments.
  • Preparing regularreports on distribution performance, efficiency, and customersatisfaction.
  • Analyzing data to identifytrends, opportunities for improvement, and areas where costs can bereduced.
