- Provides legal counsel and adviceto the General Counsel, Associate General Counsel and Senior LegalCounsel with regard to commercial, corporate and transactionalmatters as and when required or assigned, including joint ventures,investments, mergers, acquisitions, incorporations, dissolutionsand liquidations. Additionally, advises on and leads employeerelated disputes, domestic court cases, general contracts andleases.
- Drafts, reviews, interprets and amendslegal opinions, agreements, letters, memos, submissions and anyother relevant documents related to the business, projects ortransactions related to matters for ADNOCL&S.
- Assists the the General Counsel,Associate General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel in providing thelegal functions of ADNOC L&S particularly in developmentand implementation of common legal practices and jointstrategies.
- Attends internal ADNOC L&Scommittees and meetings, as and whenrequired.
- Assists with external legal counselservices related to contractual advice or employee or domesticcontract disputes, including review of external legal counsel workproduct, preparation of request for proposals and instructingexternal legal counsel.
- Coordinates with theCorporate Governance Department on corporate governance mattersrelated to contracts andtransactions.
- Coordinates with the ComplianceDepartment on compliance matters related to contracts andtransactions.
- Provides legal advice andservices to the the General Counsel, Associate General Counsel andSenior Legal Counsel to ensure that its commercial and corporateactivities are conducted in compliance with applicable law andregulations.
- Assists in advising on all ADNOCL&S disputes (whether in court, arbitration or other formof dispute resolution) relating to employees and breach ofcontract.
- Performs other similar duties asassigned by the the General Counsel, Associate General Counsel andSenior Legal Counsel.
MinimumRequirements
- Bachelor’s Degree inLaw.
- At least 5 years of relevant experiencepreferably in top international law / consultancy firms and/orlocal or international blue-chipcorporate/s.
- Experience preferably incommercial contracts, and some disputes experience would be anadvantage but not a pre-requistite .
- ExcellentEnglish language (written and spoken). Knowledge of Arabic Languageis an asset.
