  • Familiarity with enterpriseintegration patterns and microservicesarchitecture.
  • Knowledge of secure codingpractices and experience with authentication and authorizationmechanisms (OAuth, SAML, JWT).
  • Experience withversion control systems (e.g., Git) and continuousintegration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)pipelines.
  • Relevant certifications inintegration technologies or software development are aplus.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience insystem integration, software development, or a similarrole.

  • System IntegrationDesign andDevelopment:

    • DesigningIntegration Solutions: Develop integration solutionsthat ensure different applications and systems can exchange dataeffectively. This can include systems like ERP, CRM, HRMS, andother enterpriseapplications.
    • BuildingInterfaces: Create interfaces between differentsystems using middleware technologies or APIs, enabling data flowbetween disparate applications andplatforms.
    • DevelopingAPIs: Design and build RESTful APIs, SOAP webservices, and other integration components to expose data andfunctionality for internal or externalsystems.
    • Working with IntegrationTools: Leverage integration platforms such asMuleSoft, DellBoomi, Apache Camel,Tibco, or Oracle SOASuite to implement integrationsolutions.

  • DataTransformation andMapping:

    • DataTransformation: Write code to transform data fromone format (e.g., JSON, XML) into another to ensure compatibilitybetween systems. This includes extracting, transforming, andloading (ETL) data from source systems to targetsystems.
    • DataMapping: Define and implement data mapping rules toensure data from one system can be accurately understood andprocessed byanother.

  • MiddlewareConfiguration:

    • MiddlewareManagement: Configure and manage middlewaresolutions that connect and mediate communication between varioussystems. Middleware includes tools like EnterpriseService Buses (ESBs), message queues, or integrationplatforms.
    • Monitoring Middlewareand APIs: Ensure the stability, reliability, andperformance of middleware components by setting up logging,monitoring, and alertingsystems.

  • APIIntegration:

    • DesigningAPI Endpoints: Create and document RESTful APIs andSOAP services to integrate systems. Ensure that APIs are secure,scalable, and optimized forperformance.
    • APISecurity: Implement proper security protocols, suchas OAuth, API keys, and encryption, to protect data beingtransmitted through APIs.
    • APIVersioning: Manage API versions and ensure backwardcompatibility when new versions of an API arereleased.

  • ErrorHandling andTroubleshooting:

    • ErrorDetection: Implement error handling and loggingmechanisms to detect, track, and report issues in the integrationprocess.
    • Debugging and IssueResolution: Troubleshoot integration failures,performance issues, and data discrepancies, working closely withother IT teams to resolvethem.

  • Testingand QualityAssurance:

    • Unitand Integration Testing: Write and execute tests tovalidate integration logic, ensuring data is correctly transformed,mapped, and transferred betweensystems.
    • TestingEnvironments: Set up and maintain development andtest environments to simulate integrations and ensure that thesolutions work as expected beforedeployment.

  • Collaborationwith Cross-FunctionalTeams:

    • Workingwith Business Analysts: Collaborate with businessanalysts to understand integration requirements and ensure that theintegration solution addresses businessneeds.
    • Collaboration withBackend/Frontend Developers: Work with otherdevelopment teams to ensure that integrations are implementedsmoothly and meet both technical and functionalrequirements.
    • StakeholderCommunication: Liaise with stakeholders from otherteams, such as operations, infrastructure, and support, to ensurethat integration solutions meet the company's overallobjectives.

  • PerformanceOptimization:

    • OptimizingData Flow: Continuously monitor and optimizeintegration solutions for performance, scalability, and efficiency,especially when dealing with high volumes ofdata.
    • LoadBalancing: Implement load balancing strategies andoptimize systems to ensure high availability and responsiveness ofintegrationservices.

  • DocumentationandMaintenance:

    • Documentation:Document the architecture, design, and implementation ofintegration solutions, as well as provide user guides and systemspecifications.
    • VersionControl: Use version control systems such asGit to manage and track changes tointegration code.
    • Maintenance andUpdates: Regularly maintain and update integrationsto accommodate new features, address issues, and ensure ongoingcompatibility with othersystems.

  • ProgrammingLanguages:

    • Understandingof various data formats, includingXML,JSON,CSV, andYAML, and how to work with them inintegrations.
    • Familiarity with data exchangeprotocols such as SOAP,REST,MQTT, andAMQP.

  • CloudIntegration:

    • Experienceintegrating cloud-based systems such asAWS,Azure, and GoogleCloud, especially in hybrid cloudenvironments.
    • Familiarity with cloud-nativeintegration tools like AWS Lambda,Azure Logic Apps, andGoogle CloudPub/Sub.

  • Databaseand SQL:

    • Proficiency inSQL for data extraction,transformation, and loading (ETL).
    • Experiencewith database management and connecting databases to integrationsolutions (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQLServer).

  • SecurityandCompliance:

    • Knowledgeof OAuth 2.0, OpenIDConnect, and JWT forsecuring APIs and services.
    • Familiarity withencryption protocols and methods for data in transit and atrest.
    • Understanding of industry compliancestandards like GDPR,HIPAA, and PCIDSS.

  • DevOpsandAutomation:

    • Experiencewith CI/CD pipelines for automatingthe integration deployment process.
    • Familiaritywith Docker,Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-codetools like Terraform orAnsible.

  • TestingandDebugging:

    • Knowledge oftools for automated testing of APIs and integrations (e.g.,Postman,SoapUI,JUnit,Mockito).
