KEYACCOUNTABILITIES:

Export Shipping Contracts(shipping lines, transport companies, forwarders, warehousing, andtruckingdistributers)

  • Leads theeffective coordination for the development and maintenance ofshipping and logistics services contracts in collaboration withLegal and Logistics Operations, to ensure the contracts arecomprehensive, accurate and legallycompliant.

Policies,Processes&Procedures

  • Recommendsimprovements to the section policy and related IT systems anddirects the implementation of procedures and controls and IT roadmaps covering section's activity so that all relevantprocedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while deliveringa quality, cost-effective services to customers In-line withrequirement of ISO/TS 16949.
  • Develops,monitors, and maintains the section business process procedureswith compliance as established under qualitystandards.

CreatingEfficiencies

  • Contactsvarious shipping, transport and forwarding companies to determinethe optimal routes at the most competitive rates for thecompany's export and transportactivities.

CostImprovement

  • Overseesthe monitoring of cost for dispatch of products to customers andhighlights to the line manager in case of any variances ordiscrepancies in order to enable corresponding decisionmaking.
  • Recommends new process and costimprovement initiatives and expense reduction goals in export ofproducts, to the management and oversees their implementation inorder to decrease overhead liability for theorganization.

ExternalRelationshipManagement

  • Coordinateswith external stakeholders such as shipping lines, transportercompanies, ports and customs and freight forwarders and internaldepartments or functions as required, in order to enable effectivebuilding of relationship and effective managing of sectionoperation.
  • Ensures that customer requirementsare fully, understood, addressed, implemented, andmaintained.
  • Ensures customer complaints areeffectively closed within stipulated time and communicated tocustomer.
  • Ensures contract review/ customeragreement and customer communication arerecorded.

Day-to-DayOperation

  • Supervisesthe day-to-day operations of the section to ensure that workprocesses are implemented as designed and comply with establishedpolicies, processes, andprocedures.

Coordination

  • Managesthe following-up and coordination with the different internalfunctions and departments to gather and collect requiredinformation in order to help in the development of the relevanttender documentation and shipments.
  • Regularlycoordinates with the line manager in order to highlight anycritical issues/challenges faced in the section in order to ensurethese bottlenecks are cleared on time and operation continues asplanned.

Training andDevelopment

  • Coordinatethe development and delivery of technical training programs areupdated and that relevant staff in each section are provided withthe required knowledge and skills.
  • Ensures thatnew trainees are correctly trained and developed to build a talentpool to timely meet future businessrequirements.

RecordsManagement

  • Establishesa system for storing all section data in a common area orrepository in order to enable ease of access for future referenceand to support other sales sections to access thedocuments.

PeopleManagement

  • Supervisesthe activities and work of subordinates by providing formal andinformal feedback to ensure that all work within a specific area iscarried out in an effective manner and in accordance with setindividualtargets.

Safety,Quality, &Environment

  • Ensurescompliance to all relevant safety, quality, and environmentalmanagement policies, procedures and control across the section inorder to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and aresponsible environmentalattitude.
