Credit Assessment;Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients byanalysing financial statements payment history and credit reports.Recommend credit limits and terms based on riskassessment.
InvoiceManagement; Ensure that invoices are issued accurately and on timein alignment with company policies. Monitor outstanding invoicesand follow up on overdue payments.
Collections; Implement and manage effective collectionstrategies to minimize overdue receivables. Liaise with clientsFinance departments to expeditepayments.
Credit ControlPolicies; Develop implement and maintain credit control policiesand procedures to enhance the credit managementprocess.
AccountReconciliation; Reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy inbilling and payments. Resolve discrepancies by liaising withinternal departments and clients.
Client Relationship Management; Maintain strongrelationships with clients to ensure ongoing communicationregarding their accounts. Address and resolve any queries relatedto invoicing or payments.
Risk Management; Identify and assess credit risks andwork with the finance team to mitigate them. Recommend actions forhighrisk accounts including credit holds and escalation to disputeresolution head if necessary.
Compliance; Ensure that credit control practices complywith relevant regulations and company policies. Stay updated onchanges in credit management best practices and legalrequirements.
TeamLeadership; Manage and mentor the regional credit control teamproviding guidance training and performanceevaluations.
TeamCollaboration; Work closely with the finance teams to align oncredit terms customer accounts and payment plans. Provide trainingand support to team members on credit controlprocesses.
Qualifications :
Professional certificationin credit management (e.g. CICM ICM) is anadvantage.
