Job Summary
  • Experienced in Traffic Control Systems of junctions and pedestrian junctions of Infrastructure development projects
  • Experienced in design of systems related to Intelligent Transportation Systems(ITS) such as traffic signals and electronic warning and information systems, toll booth, tunnels including dynamic message signs and lane control systems.
  • Understanding of road drawings, road signage and surface marking, traffic signal near rail roads, LRT, one lane, two way and work zones. Freeway and expressway entrance ramps
  • Design knowledge in sensors, toll tag readers, signal timing concepts, time space diagrams, Lane control signals, traffic signal controllers, roundabout signal controls, sizing of CCTV and FOV calculations
  • Design experience in TCS/ITS corridor, ducts/manholes, road crossing ducts, basic understanding of electrical infrastructure including power backup and communication design of traffic control systems including fiber optic cabling, MPLS GSM interface and TMC Hub connectivity
  • Work closely with the transportation strategy team to carry out the traffic control signal design based on Traffic Master plan, Traffic Impact Assessment, and mobility strategy
  • Construction/operational knowledge of TCS and ITS systems including VSS, VMS, RVDS, LCS, OHVD, RWIS,DVMS, DVSS, AQMS and WIM systems
  • Approved by ITC Abudhabi(for TCS design), RTA Dubai for traffic control systems design
  • Ability to work with design lead and follow-up the approval process interfacing with the project team, Clients and Stakeholders. In-depth and strong understanding of Abu Dhabi/Dubai/UAE is a Must, KSA and other MiddleEast projects is an added advantage
  • Experienced in Autodesk 2D, 3D, Revit MEP and BIM and in-depth understanding of TCS/ITS systems is a must,
  • Strong infrastructure engineering background with previous experience on infrastructure projects with technical report writing skills and developing specifications, data sheets
  • Prepare Clarifications to Contractor RFIs, Review/approve any key technical submittals related to plants
  • Work towards digitalization skills, innovations, and improvements to manage workload and accomplish deliverables across individuals, teams, and projects
  • Able to work with multiple teams with diverse backgrounds on geographically and culturally diverse teams
  • Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
  • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
  • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
  • Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
  • Identifies discrepancies in results.
  • Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
Minimum Requirements
  • Design of Traffic Control Systems, Signalized Junctions, tunnels, toll booths and Intelligent transportation systems using Civil3D and Revit MEP
  • Experience and skills including ProjectWise, Infraworks, Navisworks, BIM etc
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelors' Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, 3-5 years of experience in Traffic controls and ITS of Infrastructure design only.
