We are seeking a Secondary Teacher of Music to lead, plan, deliver, and assess the teaching of Music and Music Technology from Year 7 to Year 12 for the upcoming academic year. The ideal candidate should have an outstanding track record at GCSE and A-level and be skilled at incorporating authentic inquiry and ecological principles into their teaching.

We are in search of an experienced teacher with a strong passion for this thriving subject to enrich and advance our music curriculum both in and out of the classroom. The successful applicant will be capable of teaching students with varying abilities and demonstrate a proven history of achieving excellent student outcomes. Proficiency and experience in teaching Music and Music Technology are essential, ideally including experience across GCSE/iGCSE and A Level or IB.

Job Summary:

  • Proficient and experienced in teaching Music and Music Technology, with ideally teaching experience across GCSE/iGCSE, A Level, or IB.
  • Responsible for developing and reviewing the music curriculum at KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Leading the preparation, delivery, and assessment of schemes of work in line with National Curriculum requirements.
  • Enhancing the music program both inside and outside the curriculum by overseeing music activities and creating a strong music ECA program.

Required Candidate Profile:

  • Native-level English language skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Music or similar, with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience teaching Music/Drama in the UK or a reputable British school overseas.
  • Demonstrated track record of outstanding GSCE and/or A Level results.
