About the role – Mathematics & Science Teacher for Key Stages 2 & 3 (primarily for Years 7-8)

BC Academy, located in Dubai's Jumeirah district, seeks an enthusiastic, innovative and forward-thinking Maths and Science practitioner to care for and educate our Year 7-8 students. The ideal candidate will be an experienced teacher of Primary and/or Middle School Mathematics and Science with an expert knowledge of the English National Curriculum who is prepared to act as either the Year 7 or Year 8 Form Tutor. Although the main remit is Key Stage 3, a willingness to teach both subjects in Key Stage 2 on a need basis will also be appreciated.

We seek a teacher with a wide-ranging interest and good educational pedigree in the relevant subjects who balances excellent teaching with building positive and appropriate relationships with all students, not only the higher achievers. The successful candidate will also have a deep knowledge of health and safety and best practices in child protection. As form tutor for either Year 7 or Year 8, the successful candidate will be required to track and report on students' pastoral and academic progress, liaising effectively with parents and senior leadership.

About our school

BC Academy was founded eleven years ago to provide multilingual education to Preschool-age children. Since then it has grown into a seven-campus establishment, with two International Schools, 5 Preschools and a new Preschool, Primary and Secondary campus opening in the heart of Dubai's Jumeirah district, opening in 2024.
