Kings' School Nad al Sheba is seeking to appoint an outstanding and highly skilled Deputy SENCo to join our established Inclusion Team (LInK) from August 2024. The successful candidate will further develop the outstanding school-wide culture of inclusion by continuing to improve the range of provision that the school offers and facilitating opportunities to up-skill staff from across the school. This includes both Learning Support staff, as well as mainstream Classroom Teachers and Learning Assistants.

You will be inspiring your pupils and staff daily, to become life-longer learners. You will receive unparalleled support to ensure you are able to deliver an exceptional education; and allow you to fully commit to doing the 'Best by Every Child.'

Purpose of the role:

To raise standards of achievement of children with a SEN. To increase staff confidence and competence in teaching children with a SEN. To ensure children with SEN have full entitlement to the Kings' curriculum. Requirements and Experience: Hold relevant Bachelor's degree. Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE or equivalent. Have experience of the role in Primary and or Secondary settings for a minimum of two years, preferably in the UAE. CCET and AAC qualifications desired. Commitment to inclusive education that meets the needs of the individual child. A thorough knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures. A commitment to the wellbeing and pastoral care of all students. An innovative, creative and enthusiastic practitioner who is able and willing to contribute to the team around them and the wider school community. A commitment to the extra-curricular programme.
