Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Emerging Markets Channel Leader to be part of our EMEA Channel leadership team. With expertise in distribution, solution sales, and business evolution, you will have a key role in shaping and carrying out Autodesk's business with our Value-Added Reseller channel in EMEA's emerging markets. As the right person for this critical position, you will create channel strategies to boost revenue, expand market presence, and nurture partnerships across the EMEA Emerging markets region. Your deep knowledge of distribution networks, sales tactics, and a successful history in driving business evolution will be key to achieving our objectives.

You will be reporting to the Senior Director, Channels Sales, EMEA.

We offer a hybrid working schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the Channel strategy in the EMEA Emerging markets region in partnership with the Global Partner Programs team to meet growth targets for our business, focusing on optimizing distribution networks
  • Lead and inspire the emerging markets channel team in alignment with Autodesk's Culture Values. Cultivate and empower the team with a culture of teamwork, leadership, and excellence
  • Advocate Channel Management best practices in the EMEA Emerging markets region and encourage knowledge exchange with colleagues globally, highlighting the significance of effective distribution
  • Convey Autodesk's strategy and vision to partners, set mutual objectives, and review business strategies to reach shared goals, which encompass distribution-related objectives in Emerging Markets
  • Embrace a Customer First approach to provide a top-notch customer experience through our channel partners, ensuring distribution channels are aligned with customer requirements
  • Identify potential partners, negotiate partnerships, and identify & enlist new partners to advance business expansion and bolster distribution capabilities
  • Sustain partner relationships with key partners and distributors, acting as a business advisor to steer their strategic path and develop distribution channels in Emerging Markets
  • Promote collaboration between partners and internal sales teams, including Mid-market, Inside Sales Hub, acquired companies, Customer Success, and License Compliance teams, to enhance distribution processes across varied Emerging Markets.
  • Devise and implement strategic Channel programs, collaborating with partners, internal sales, and marketing teams for effective implementation, with a focus on enhancing distribution efficiency in both mature and Emerging Markets.
  • Coordinate with the sales team on reseller engagement, certification requirements, programs, policies, and contract compliance
  • Evaluate partner training requirements and collaborate with external and internal providers to create training strategies
  • Boost revenue through indirect channels, aiding Industry Strategic Realization plans within our partner ecosystem, while optimizing distribution efficiency in Emerging Markets. Accomplish revenue targets for all product/solution categories including consistent forecasting responsibility

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant business experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Experience in B2B sales within a technology setting is crucial
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing sales teams towards specific objectives
  • Comfortable collaborating in a complex environment
  • Background from emerging markets, in regional multi-country function

Preferred Qualifications

  • Regional leadership background in an international Channel Sales organization within a sizable technology company
  • Experience leading a Channel team or working in a Channel environment is beneficial
  • Experience cultivating trusted advisor relationships to implement Channel Partner strategies
  • Change management background in a technology setting
  • Familiarity with and other commonly employed Sales and Marketing productivity tools
