RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Comply with health and safety regulations and academy policies.
  • Engage in annual training related to child protection, safeguarding, and health and safety.
  • Have a good understanding of professional duties and legal responsibilities.
  • Adhere to the academy's computer Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Deliver inspiring lessons to ensure students' success and best outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Build positive relationships within the school community.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan engaging lessons.
  • Work with parents for students' well-being and academic success.
  • Support children's development by cooperating with curriculum support staff.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Understand the Curriculum clearly.
  • Organize classroom resources to create a positive learning environment.
  • Plan sessions catering to the needs of all students.
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic teaching.
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
  • Collaborate with other professionals as needed.
  • Ensure the curriculum embeds the Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes.

Assessment and data:

  • Monitor class progress and record student development.
  • Use assessment data for planning and interventions.
  • Provide feedback to parents on student progress.

Behavior management and duties:

  • Follow the school's behavior policy.
  • Effectively manage classes to inspire and challenge students.
  • Maintain good relationships with students and enforce school policies.

Wider professional responsibilities:

  • Participate in curriculum action groups.
  • Support and participate in school events and activities.
  • Communicate with parents regarding student achievements and well-being.
  • Contribute positively to the school's ethos.
  • Run a weekly ECA each term.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Early Childhood/Primary Education with a valid teaching license.
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Early Childhood/Primary Education.
  • Experience working with non-native English speakers.
  • Passion for teaching and holistic education.
  • Engagement in extracurricular activities.
  • Respect for all members of the school community.
  • Clear background check.
