Maths Curriculum Middle Leader

Role overview of a Citizens School Middle Leader:

A Middle leader is responsible for leading and managing colleagues. This will include leading educational projects, as assigned by their line manager, through facilitating effective collaboration of mentors/colleagues in the design, implementation and evaluation of projects such as engaging in the creation, implementation and delivery of the Citizens Learning Framework; planning and production of resources; leading meetings; delivering training; implementing and reviewing progress meetings; analysing data and outcomes; writing reports and supporting colleagues.

Specific role overview: The Math Curriculum Middle Leader will pledge his/her commitment to help the School achieve its mission, goals, and vision; value community; bring a spirit of enthusiasm, energy, and willingness to take thoughtful initiative in a collaborative setting. The Math Curriculum Middle Leader is responsible for making clear and effective decisions about planning, implementing, and evaluating the curriculum including assessments, and extra-curricular activities; leading and managing Mentor and organizing department resources. Lead Teachers have overall responsibility for the standard of students' work, outcomes, and behaviour in the department.

Qualifications and experience:

Strong academic qualifications in related field, Bachelor's with a MA preferredValid teaching credential with five years of teaching experienceExcellent organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and safeguard confidential informationSensitivity in meeting the needs of all studentsDemonstrated leadership with experience in curriculum development and co-curricular programsProficient in IT for productivity purposes and as a tool to facilitate learning in the classroom Personal qualities:Ambitious to join a school that is re-imagining education by challenging convention and placing the learners at the heart of every decision.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Passion for fostering creativity, innovation, and critical thinking in learners.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage resources effectively.
