SENIOR FINANCE ANALYST – ANI AKL Affiliate (Job Grade 16)

The position works out of our UAE office in Abbott Nutrition Division. This position reports to the Controller for ANI AKL (Africa, Kuwait, and Levant). As the ANI AKL Senior Finance Analyst supporting the Controller, you'll be responsible for commercial finance partnering and financial planning and analysis activities of the Abbott Nutrition division to ensure informed financial decisions can be made by the leadership team to drive sustainable and profitable growth in the AKL countries.

What you'll do

  • Provide commercial finance partnering and support to all functions in ANI AKL.
  • Prepare financial analyses and forecasts to support decision making.
  • Closely monitor sales and promotional activities to ensure full compliance of company financial policies and OEC policies. Provide training to field sales force whenever necessary regarding company financial policies and procedures.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual and long-term financial analyses and reports to meet internal as well as Area & Division reporting requirements, while assuring that all reporting deadlines are met.
    • Drive process improvements to reduce unnecessary work/tasks.Drive automation of financial reports.
  • Drive Margin and Profit Improvements, Cash Flow Improvements, Cost Leadership projects and operational efficiencies through cross-functional collaboration. Lead certain Cost Leadership projects to successful execution.
  • Review balance sheet items including adequacy of reserves and accruals and supporting documentation; assure financial transactions are properly recorded and meet Abbott and local reporting requirements.
  • Regularly review local financial policies and procedures to assure adequate internal controls are maintained in the countries.
  • Support internal and external audits and assure that identified issues are addressed in a timely manner with effective remediation programs.
  • Carry special projects or analysis as directed by Senior management.

Work Experience

Experience - Minimum 5 years

Experience Details

  • Relevant working experience in both accounting and financial analysis with multi-national companies preferably from Nutrition or FMCG industry in similar role.
  • Prior Financial Analyst experience

Education

Education Level - Bachelor

Field of Study/ Qualification

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • MBA will be a plus
