Overview

Assistsphysicians and nurses in the outpatient procedural setting withendoscopicprocedures.

Responsibilities

  • Complete on the job training toassist the physicians and nurses with various GI procedures,including but not limited to colonoscopies and upper Giprocedures.
  • Prepares procedure room for case,assist the physican during the case, maintaining clean examinationareas by setting up rooms, cleaning instruments aftercase.
  • Responsible for proper functioning ofequipment that includes cleaning anddisinfecting.
  • Process specimenhandling.
  • Scope reprocessing asneeded.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventorypar levels in procedure rooms, restocking endoscopy relatedsupplies in procedure rooms and monitoring expirationdates.
  • Performs other duties as required orassigned.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate with previoushealth care experience preferred.
  • Must possessthe ability to anticipate, prioritize, and coordinatework.
  • Must function independently, as well as amember of a team in a high stressenvironment.
  • Excellent verbal communicationskills required.

RequiredLicensure/Certifications

  • Must obtain BLS certification withinsix months of employment. - Must maintain their BLS certificationat all times. - Currently Registered with the New Hampshire Boardof Registration for MedicalTechnicians
