For our new office in Dubai, we are looking for Bridge Engineer - 100% (m/f)

The Ideal Candidate have extended experience in Design & Design Review of Railway and Highway bridge structures with excellent understanding of prestressed/reinforced concrete, segmental post-tensioned concrete and steel design.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the design and review activities for railway and road infrastructure projects in accordance with international design Standards (AASHTO, Eurocodes, British Standards, UIC leaflets, etc.), on time, within budget and to the agreed quality standards.
  2. Ensure the implementation of the Pini Quality Assurance procedure.
  3. Act as a Task Owner or a Sub-Task Lead in a large-scale project, or in a small scale project, as requested.
  4. Be capable to produce/willing to be involved in the full spectre of design/design review such as Finite Element analysis, calculations, BIM modelling knowledge and not only, corresponding to all stages of design.
  5. Develop and Lead Conceptual Designs, Feasibility Studies, Technical Designs and Detailed Designs.
  6. Develop written documentation (mainly in English) such as Design Basis Reports, Technical Specifications, Design Reports, Bill of Quantities, etc.
  7. Develop quantity estimations.
  8. Carry out technical assessment of works and estimate resourcing/time needed.
  9. Possess good communication skills to interface and collaborate with other project team members and Clients in a clear an efficient way.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's / Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
  2. Minimum 6 years of design experience in the field of Civil Engineering, with at least 3 years of experience in large scale projects, or equivalent outstanding performance and competency.
  3. Chartered Engineer (CEng from UK) or Professional Engineer (PE from USA) qualification is an advantage.
  4. Capable to work within a team of engineers while mentoring junior members of staff.
  5. Proficiency in specific software programs for developing engineering design (Midas, Sofistik, CAD drafting, BIM, etc.).
  6. AutoCAD or equivalent software knowledge is required.
  7. CDE (Common Data Environment) and BIM (Building Information Modelling) specific software knowledge is considered an advantage.
  8. Understanding of interdisciplinary dependencies and effects.
  9. A team player to promote a good working environment.
  10. A pro-active approach in interfacing with peers from other engineering disciplines.
  11. Possess good knowledge of Health & Safety principles.
  12. Analytical thinking, hardworking, responsible and flexible.
  13. Knowledge of professional/technical English language.
  14. Knowledge of Gulf area country specifics is an advantage.
