DBS Emirates Hills Curriculum


Our curriculum is modelled on the National Curriculum for England and adapted to our own international context, leading to a challenging set of GCSE, BTEC and GCE A Level courses from Year 10 to Year 13.

We feel the opportunities that students enjoy outside the classroom are just as important as the main curriculum and we offer an extensive and varied Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) programme.

Professional Requirements

  • High Quality Degree in Islamic Studies (2:1 and above) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience teaching the National Curriculum for England in the UK.
  • An individual with confidence and a proven track record of outstanding results as
  • GCSE and A' Level teaching experience essential.
  • Cleared Police and Safeguarding Background Checks*.

INSET programme, tailored specifically for the needs of new staff, aims to help you settle into life in Dubai (if you are new to the UAE), and familiarise yourself with our school-specific policy and practices in a smaller group setting
with our senior leaders.

Returning staff then join us for an induction into the school year.
