About The Role:

The Agile Delivery Manager (dnata) isresponsible for planning leading organising and motivating scrumteams either within a Release Train or outside to achieve a highlevel of performance and quality in the delivery of outputs thatprovide exceptional value to end users and customers. The AgileDelivery Manager may be responsible for managing several concurrenthigh visibility initiatives or daytoday operations and enhancementsusing fitforpurpose (Agile Scrum Kanban Waterfall) methods in afast paced environment that may involve multiple business units.

In this role you will:

  • Facilitate key ceremonies such as PIplanning and Review and play a consultative role to help put inplace the appropriate people process and tools supporting the Agileframework and coaching members of the team as needed to optimizethe efficiency of the Release Train team.
  • Actas a Champion in blending traditional project management principlesand practices with an Agile development approach in the rightproportions to fit initiatives of all sizes with the appropriatelevel of planning and provide the right balance of agility andpredictability based on PMIACP principles.
  • Build a trusting and safe environment whereproblems can be raised without fear of blame or retribution with anemphasis on healing and problemsolving. Protect and provide allsupport to the team/s using a servant leadership style wheneverpossible and lead by example. Facilitate getting the work donepracticing servant leadership and encourage discussion decisionmaking and conflict resolution.
  • Drive Qualityand ensure the Definition of Done (DOD) is being followed ensureseach team member is fully engaged in the stories and making ameaningful contribution. Encourage a sustainable pace adhering tothe agreed quality management plan with the team. Maintain an agileproject management tool (e.g. ScrumDesk JIRA etc.).
  • Assist in team development through holdingteams accountable for their commitments removing roadblocks totheir work leveraging cross functional team skills to improveproduct backlog throughput and mentoring and developing teammembers. Attend regular standups and scrum of scrums in order tounderstand the teams progress and issues and to flag up to the teamwhere necessary any important external issues of which they need tobe aware.
  • Support the Technical ProductManager in managing business expectations and transparency in bothproduct backlog and schedule for all initiatives.
  • Define and manage a welldefined process andchampion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement bestpractices for Agile Delivery Management. Implement an agilegovernance with key ceremonies drives continuous improvement withconstant assessments of velocity (team story point throughput)defect percentage improvements etc.
  • Assistwith the cost estimation / sizing exercise for both near term andfuture initiatives and assists with preparing total cost ofownership with the product team.
  • Together withthe Product team supports the RFx phases in the procurement processand the scheduling of such activities in relation to the productlifecycle.

Qualifications& Experience: To be considered for this role you must meetthe below requirements:


Qualifications:
  • Degree or Honours inComputer Science or similar subject.
  • Certification: Certified SAFe and PMI ACP(additional certifications such as PMI Prince 2 CSM desirable) with5 years of practical application of the Scrum Managementdiscipline. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of practicalapplication of project management experience.
Experience:
  • 8 Years of working experience inInformation Technology.
  • Relevant experienceincluding: Proven leadership and project delivery experience in amatrix organisation with global teams for a large organisation.
  • Experience in agile delivery within thecontext of a large technology change programmes.
Knowledge/skills:
  • Wellversed in the use of tools ofsoftware delivery e.g. ServiceNow ITBM MS OFFICE suite JIRAConfluence etc
  • Good architectural knowledge oflargescale systems.
  • Ability to effectivelycommunicate specialist information in an understandable format toall stakeholders. Handson leader with strong people skills.
  • Excellent communication skills focusing oncore scrum values of openness honesty and respect.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to act asScrum Master as well as be able to lead large initiatives. Must beproficient in managing project budgets andfinancials.
