ResponsibilitiesWood is currently looking for Electrical Advisor to support our team in Iraq/Basra .Responsible for developing and monitor program to improve existing electrical equipment reliability at WQ1 fieldIdentify electrical potential issues and provide engineering solutionsIdentify any obsolete electrical equipment and plan forward for upgradeIdentify area under electrical required improvement to bring more reliable systemDeliver engineering solution related to electrical for day today oil and gas operationPrepare details engineering (engineering work pack) and MoC for not like to likemodification or replacement to be executed by others departmentPerform root cause & failure analysis (RCFA) for any trip that happen in oil and gas plantMaintain electrical non-conformance tracking listMaintain and follow up on RCFA action items related to electricalSupport electrical maintenance for troubleshooting activity or any engineering solution if needed.

Interface with project team to provide input / lesson learn related to electrical during new project developmentInterface with operation readiness for new project will come to operation, ensurenew project has been deliver as per standard, electrical equipment register, and PM program has been updatedResponsible for providing technical support in procurement of electricalequipment/materials when requiredResponsible for coordination and communication with other disciplines, as an electrical focal pointSupport ST Manager and Integrity, Reliability & Measurement Section Head in any special assignmentQualificationsMust have a good understanding and knowledge of upstream oil & gas onshoreprocessing and facilitiesMust have extensive knowledge of Electrical equipment and package required forOnshore oil & gas plant/refinery/petrochemical plantConversant with ASME/ANSI, API, ATEX, ISO, IEC, NEMA, NEC, NFPA and otherinternational codes and standards applicable for Electrical designProficient in design, selection and sizing of HV/MV/LV Electrical Equipment/Component (Transformer, Switchgear, Protection Relay, Cable, ATS, etc), AC/DCGood understanding and hands-on on relay coordinating setting analysis and recommendation.

Knowledge in ETAP SoftwareKnowledge in API hazardous area classification and equipment selection is must.
Good command of written and spoken EnglishExcellent in communication and presentation skills, coordination and organizingskills with ability to work with minimal supervision, strong focusing on goal andliaise effectively and efficiently with other team members within / outsideDepartmentDemonstrate high level of interpersonal skills and integrityStakeholder Management skills
  • Proven ability to build strong workingrelationship with internal and external partiesMinimum of 20 years of experience in onshore upstream oil & gas plant and/orPetrochemical and/or Refinery industry as Senior Electrical Engineer (preferablyin middle east region)Strong experiences in surface technical engineering and some maintenance.
