Service engineers / Technicians are specialist technical professionals who design, develop, build, install, inspect, and maintain the propulsion systems, engines, pumps and other pieces of technical equipment that make boats and other maritime vessels function effectively.
The candidate should have the ability to install and maintain different types of firefighting systems, such as Automatic sprinkler system, Fire hose reel / rack system, Fire pumps, Clean agent fire suppression systems, wet chemical fire suppression systems and any other systems related.
- JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES LINKED TO OBJECTIVE AREAS
Periodic Inspection, Service and Certification. Repair and Maintenance of Life Raft Class / Flag certification knowledge.
Life Saving Appliances (Lifeboat / Rescue Boat/Fast Rescue Craft etc...)
Annual and five yearly inspections and service of all Life Saving Appliances Dynamic and Static load testing of Lifeboat and Rescue boat launching appliance.
Preparing, Planning and Scheduling of projects. Tracking and monitoring project progress and reporting to managementFire Fighting Appliances Periodic inspection, service, and certification of:
Portable Fire Extinguisher Fixed Fire Fighting System like Novec system, FM 200 system, CO2 system, Water mist system, foam system and Dry powder system, breathing apparatus, EEBD, Medical oxygen system, Life jackets, Immersion suits.
Cylinders hydrostatic Pressure Testing and refill in accordance with standards.- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE
Qualifications:
ITI / Diploma / Engineering or equivalent in any stream. Training attendance certificate from OEM (Lifeboat / Life Raft / Fire Fighting Appliances)
Experience:
2+ Years' experience in marine field preferable UAE Driving License holders preferred
Knowledge:
Good knowledge of IACS and Non IACS Class approvals and process. Maintaining documents and files as per IACS and Non IACS Class requirements.
