Based inOrpington, Kent our client, a highly reputable and well-establishedfirm of accountants is looking for an Accounts Manager to jointheir team. This highly successful accountancy practice acts forwide ranging clients, across varied industries providing servicesincluding accounts, tax, bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, managementaccounts and payroll, alongside other specialist services includingtax advisoryservices.

Joiningas a Accounts Manager based from the firms offices in Orpington,you will have a hands on role, responsible for your own portfolioof clients and reviewing the work of junior staff. You will also beresponsible for preparing accounts, tax, bookkeeping and managementaccounts for sole traders, partnerships and OMB limited companies.You will have increasing client contact and excellent progressionprospects as you progress in your career. You will also have theopportunity to do some audit work should you wish, but this isnt aprerequisite.

  • Reviewingaccounts and tax returns prepared by other members of the team andclearing all review points to partnerlevel
  • Developingrelationships with these clients through meetings and regularcontact to ensure that you become their point of contact onday-to-day matters
  • Toprovide consistently high levels of servicetothe entire portfolio covering all aspects of accounting and tax ina cost effective and timely manner
  • Assisting partners and the tax team with specific assignments- e.g.business planning, advisory and tax matters
  • Generalmanagement of the portfolio including monthly WIP management andbilling, staff feedback following job review and workflowmanagement to ensure all work is completed before the relevantdeadline

Requirements
  • Youwill have a career background in accountancy practice preparing amix of accounts, tax, management accounts, bookkeeping, and VATservices for a variation of clients to include limited companies,partnerships and sole traders.
  • Youwill have at least 3 - 5 years experience, or more ideally gainedwithin accountancy practice and be looking to further your career.
  • Youwill be ACCA/ACA qualified or have developed your career throughexperienceonly.
