Reporting directly to the CEO/CIO, this role is central to our mission of delivering superior investment performance and driving strategic decision-making.
As a key leader in our team, you will combine technical expertise with strategic vision to guide our firm towards continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Strategy and Management:
- Develop and implement advanced investment strategies for GCC equities portfolios.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential investments, evaluating financial statements, market trends, industry dynamics, and regulatory environments.
- Utilize sophisticated quantitative models and analytical tools to assess securities, sectors, and markets.
- Continuously monitor and adjust portfolio performance to maximize returns and manage risks.
- Stay informed of emerging market trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes to provide actionable insights.
- Manage active equity strategies, including actively managed funds and client portfolios, primarily driven by detailed fundamental analysis of companies listed on the GCC stock markets.
- Manage passive portfolio strategies through dynamic index tracking investment approaches to minimize deviations from assigned index benchmarks.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with research analysts, traders, risk managers, and other stakeholders to align investment strategies with portfolio objectives.
- Present investment strategies, performance reports, and market insights to senior management and investment committees.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing tailored investment solutions and fostering trust.
- Contribute to investor presentations, product development, marketing presentations, fund fact sheets, internal management reports, and external bulletins.
- Participate in client meetings to present investment cases for products/strategies.
Leadership and Development:
- Mentor and guide analysts, traders, and junior portfolio managers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Drive the enhancement of investment methodologies, data sources, and analytical frameworks.
- Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and sound judgment in all aspects of portfolio management and decisionmaking.
Qualifications & Experience:
Technical Skills:
- Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. CFA designation is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in portfolio management with a focus on GCC equities.
- Proven track record of achieving strong investment performance.
- In-depth knowledge of GCC markets, economic conditions, and regulatory environments.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with expertise in financial modelling and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in both English and Arabic is preferred.
- Knowledge of utilizing common information and analytics systems (e.g., Reuters and Bloomberg).
- Skills in business analysis, balance sheet, and financial statement analysis.
- Ability to analyse short, medium, and long-term equity market trends.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas and articulate investment strategies clearly and persuasively.
