Summary Description:


As Waiter / Waitress you will greet customers and offers restaurant or cafe menus, answers questions about menu offerings, processes food and drink orders, carries food and drinks from kitchen to tables, and prepares bills and process payments.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Meets and exceeds customer and team member expectations by providing outstanding Service & teamwork to ensure customer / guests satisfaction
  • Sets up chairs and tables in the restaurant before it opens for operation
  • Wipes tables and chairs and polishes China, glassware and cutlery both on tables and service stations
  • Fills up service station, supplies the service station during service hours, with necessary condiments, China, glassware, linen and makes sure cutlery is always polished.
  • Checks condiments and condiments stands.
  • Knows all tables by numbers and seats, in order to serve the correct drink and dish to each guest.
  • Escort customers to their tables.
  • Responds to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process
  • If captain is occupied, takes food & drink orders from the guest, and forwards these orders by always using a captain order and the Micros system.
  • Informs his assigned captain immediately of any irregularities or complaints
  • Clears tables of dirty and empty glasses and dishes, replenishes drinks and changes ashtrays.
  • Clears regularly the service station and keeps it clean and tidy.
  • Farewells guests at departure whenever possible.
  • Must have a good basic knowledge of all food & beverage items served according to the menu.
  • Aware of the proper presentation of food & beverages served advising supervisor incorrect orders
  • Fully trained about menu and promotions including approximate preparation times.
  • Able to serve quickly and efficiently.
  • Familiar with proper handling and maintenance of service equipment.
  • Attends scheduled outlet briefings and regular training sessions
  • Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
  • Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.

  • Ensure integrity and confidentiality of information at all times.
  • To perform any additional requirement, tasks and duties outside of his/her scope of work as deemed necessary by your Immediate Manager or the Management.

Care of Equipment

  • Ensures maintenance and careful handling of equipment used.
  • Ensures timely reporting of malfunction or maintenance deficiency to appropriate area.

Training and Employee's Activities

  • Attends scheduled trainings.
  • Participates actively in companyinitiated employee activities.

Grooming and Hygiene

  • Adheres to the specified hygiene and personal appearance standards of the hotel and surrounding area.
