KO Business Solutions is a family-owned staffing agency proud to work with a manufacturing company in Elk Grove Village, IL who is seeking an IT Administrator to join their team. The IT Administrator will provide technical assistance for users in the organization. Responds to inquiries, evaluates, and resolves issues relating to IT equipment and applications. Responsible for technical support of hardware, operating systems, applications, and networks.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm with some off-hours and weekend availability necessary for troubleshooting and maintenance

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Ownership of the Helpdesk system and incoming support requests to ensure courteous, timely, and effective resolution of customer issues.
• Provide technical assistance and maintenance related to software and hardware all network devices.
• Configure and maintain backups and disaster recovery systems.
• Install, modify, maintain, and secure servers, cabling, and network infrastructure.
• Maintain and administer computer servers, networks, and related computing environments.
• Handles workstation deployment and configuration for all new users
• Configure and maintain the security and stability of networks, including firewalls, routers, switches, VPN services.
• Performs analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex technology issues, and recommends and implements corrective solutions and identifies continuous improvement opportunities.
• Provide technical assistance and training to system users.
• Provide on-site support for multiple locations.

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of processing capabilities, general procedures, and quality standards.
• A detail-oriented individual with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to complete work projects with speed and accuracy, often under pressure and/or short deadlines.
• Proficient computer skills with a thorough understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Excel.
• Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and independent worker
• Strong troubleshooting techniques and ability to solve problems quickly.
• Ability to teach and assist colleagues while maintaining flexibility and patience.
• Individual must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ability and desire to learn and become effective with new technologies and applications.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent IT experience
• Knowledge of computer hardware troubleshooting
